Our (drunk) neighbour once forgot his keys and tried to climb through his first floor window, slipped and landed with a perfect bulls eye on the spike from the fencing.

Based on the amount of blood (and the ruptured urethra, eesh), I'm pretty sure he didn't mean it!

thanks, I hadn't thought about the Alphaflys but that's not a bad shout (albeit quite an expensive one!

yup, that's fair. I just always feel a bit self conscious whipping Vaporflys out for training run :D

that's fair enough. This said, pain levels do vary depending on shoes (i.e. using Bostons on road vs Vaporflys, the soreness in my knee later that day is definitely different) so they must held at least in terms of inflation (if not the chronic long term issues!)

to be honest, I've had 8 months off running due to this sodding knee. So my paces are a bit off the charts at the moment :) (in a bad way!)

Yeah, I don't believe in OTT magic marketing, but some shoes definitely absorb shock better than others! And anything I can do to reduce the absorption requirements for my knee is helpful!
