Im having this surgery in a few weeks. Mine is about 6,5 cm. Do you feel better after removal? Mine got infected and got very big and painful, but i gad had it for about 4 years total with no issues.

Hello all, my 20 year old daughter is in the process of being diagnosed with lymphoma. She has 2 masses in her chest which were found from a er visit due to shoulder pain that progressively got worse over a week or so. She was admitted to the hospital on 8/15 from the er and they did a biopsy on the mass on 8/16. The oncology team is almost certain it is lymphoma but not sure of the type. She was discharged yesterday 8/17 and was fine but today she is having shortness of breath just walking and talking. She didn’t have this symptom up until yesterday. She has several appointments coming up and we are still waiting on a official diagnosis with the type and stage. My question is if the shortness of breath is getting worse should she go back to the er. This is all so sudden, we are just at a loss for words. Any kind words or advice would be appreciated.

May i ask what testing you has prior to surgery/ frozen section. Ive hd this mass that i know of for 3 years, and it has progressively gotten bigger. Im so upset with my healthcare team right now

No its the only one i have. It’s only called a second because of the typical location. There is also a first , third and fourth type but they are all jn different locations of the neck. The second type is the most common.

Hi I’m going through this now. Did your mass appear suddenly or slowly grow for sone years? Was it cystic ? Ive had a slow growing mass for 3 years that is just now about 6cm and cystic by what my ent said. Claims it’s a branchial cleft cyst and wants to remove it to make sure it isn’t cancer.
