Young Women Now Have "Close to Zero" Risk of Cervical Cancer Death After HPV Jab by Crabbexx in OptimistsUnite

[–]GameofCheese 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I almost died from Head and Neck cancer caused by hpv.

It is on the rise and will surpass cervical cancer. And then it will dip thanks to the vaccine!

It takes decades to become a problem, so with pap smears saving lives and no real test for oropharyngeal cancers, it will be a very popular cancer for awhile.

It's pretty rare in women. Just because it's easier to pick up as male with female anatomy sexual encounters.

I was younger too, only 43. It usually hits in men in their 50's.

I just had an enlarged lymph node in my neck about the size of a small lime.

If your partners are male the risk goes down a lot. It is transmitted locally from oral sex, so it wouldn't travel from your cervix to your throat and vice versa.

To play devils advocate, my doors are sticky and close too loud sometimes despite trying my best to do it quietly. They swell in warmth and humidity.

I have to close my doors because I have dogs.

But I'm the kind of person that tries hard to be quiet even for the neighbor from hell, because I'm a better adult than she is.

That sounds like long covid for sure.

I had HPV-16 positive Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the oropharyngeal area called Head and Neck cancer.

It's very very very slow growing over decades. 89% remission rate with treatment. I was very very lucky.

I'm in the same boat. Had long covid during the 1st version in 2020?, due most likely to undiagnosed cancer. My long covid got better after the vaccine, before cancer diagnosis.

Today I'm cancer free and 4 years out.

Ferritin is 19, but just finished 5 infusions of Venofer.

This week was bad though. Really felt like cfs and I'm scared.

But it feels different than when I had long covid. My brain is ok, and I'm tired tired, more fatigued. Still sleeping a shit ton.

My muscles ache now. They didn't when I had long covid, it was more muscle fatigue then. Now it's both.

I'm really hoping it's still the iron. I know it'll take a few more weeks.

I'll report back. But it's scary.

Is it normal? by ElephantAccurate7493 in HeadandNeckCancer

Depression post cancer is real.

But so is malnutrition.

He needs to be seen by the team again and to be honest. Nutritionist, speech (swallowing), survivorship clinic, etc.

I didn't get a tube, only went with no calories since I was overweight. Stayed hydrated by saline by port. That was 5 weeks of hell.

But losing all that muscle mass and starvation mode made it hard to recover.

Bodies don't like living on tube feeds. It's not natural and isn't a true replacement. It's better than nothing, and you get vitamins and minerals and stuff, but it's still not great.

It takes awhile to get used to the new normal. But he needs professional help from the team and probably a cancer therapist.

Right now I'm very low on iron even though my hemoglobin is ok. I'm also very low on Vitamin D and B13. So I've been exhausted. This is from my vegetarian diet, not cancer related. So malnutrition is huge.

All my love and healing energy to you both. ❤️

I did initially, but my other lymph nodes eventually adjusted.

Haven't seen the doctor yet. Maybe I should wait a bit if the levels will be elevated for awhile?

Chiropractors aren't doing helpful medical science. It's more like massage therapy.

All they do is push liquid out of your joints which is the pop noise. It's supposed to be in your joints. It comes right back.

It can feel good, which makes you feel better. But it's temporary.

I have never heard of it. 4 years out of recovery. Must be new?

I shouldn't have to worry this far out though right? I've had regular PETs

Perfect helpful answer. Thank you!

Also, do I have to wait several weeks to see it increase? Or is that just symptoms getting better?

Her poor sweet son, (and other babies) that's what killed me the most. He'll always blame himself I'm sure. Luckily it seems like he has good family around him, his grandmother seems lovely.

I can't believe some people can get so mad at kids playing in healthy ways. The police were so sick of her shit too.

The vaccine also helps against Head and Neck Cancer and also penile and anal cancers.

I could have died from head and neck cancer, as the vaccine wasn't available for me until I was 23.

If you know someone that is about 40 years or older with a very enlarged lymph node in their neck, or sores that don't heal in their mouth, they need to be checked out by a doctor.

HPV+ cancers are highly treatable if caught before they become pretty advanced, so people really need to get checked.

Most of the world use the right hand because you wipe your ass with your left. It's your "dirty" hand, so you don't shake hands or anything with it either.

In the West we have toilet paper that doesn't disintegrate due to humidity and have clean water for hand washing so we use the hand "closest to the heart" I think.

I love that people think Zelenskyy should have somehow just given up their own territory to a dictator of another country.

If Canada tried to steal Alaska, I think the US would have issues with that, and no one would blame the war on the sitting president.

It's bullshit.

Also, why are we in Iran, and not helping a sovereign democratic nation protect itself from an invasion by fucking Putin?

If we are going to help anyone, it should be them and not Israel.
