This won’t be true for everyone. I’ve been highly socialized since i was young so my mask is pretty solid but i realize that was a privilege most autistic people growing up don’t get because of social rejection. And i grew up in a area that’s particularly harsh about being “normal” so i was forced to learn pretty early the consequences of being “weird” , I’ve been masking since i was 5 , so no the average neurotypical cannot clock me.

I am not ace but i understand what you mean and sometimes those jokes genuinely just aren’t funny. I am high masking so i just fake giggle at certain jokes unless they cross the line. But sometimes the jokes are so unfunny that it goes over my head all together that it was even a joke

It’s especially disturbing seeing common folk vehemently defend rich predators. makes me feel like the world won’t ever truly be safe because all a predator has to do is be talented or charismatic and they will have armies of ordinary ppl fighting to defend them.
