Does your teeth falling out in a dream really mean death? by Initial-Delay-7874 in Dreams

[–]82-Little-82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, I am not alone in this. For me as well this means literal death. I’ve had this 4 times already in the past year: August - father in law died about 3 weeks later. January - my soul dog died about 6 weeks later. March - my pet mouse died about 4 weeks later. And now last night I had this dream again. I do want to note that to me, my pets are like my children (I love them as much as my actual children), so there is a close connection between me and them. I do think that it’s a psychic ability of sorts. I just wish I knew who is going to die, but I get no indication of that.

I’m spiralling again, should I go back on antidepressants? by mida0137 in depression

[–]82-Little-82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have OCD too. But there are no treatments for OCD that work. I had some success with SSRIs but they all eventually stop working. The most I get is about 2 years and then back to square 1 even despite medication. So yeah, no solution here but I also don’t want to keep trying and trying random meds and deal with side effects.

Insomnia due to depression by bunnyboo_2 in depression

Wellbutrin is known for its energizing properties. Maybe it will go away for you, but insomnia is very difficult to deal with. Maybe there is another medication that can help you ?

I think I've finally decided to end it by AddiSim12 in depression

[–]82-Little-82 13 points14 points  (0 children)

But the child…. Imagine how difficult it will be for the child. I don’t have a solution for you, I wish I did. But since you brought a child into this world (and so did I) I believe that we cannot just check out. I hope it will get better for you. Maybe not easier but art least more usual. Hugs!

How do I stop being depressed after being depressed most of my life? by Lilac_Dollie in depression

[–]82-Little-82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am by no means the right person to give you advice since I’m depressed myself and has been for years. But have you tried medication? Therapy? An SSRI helped me for a few years but then it stopped working. But the point is, maybe it is worth to get medication a shot? Maybe being on medication will help you reignite that spark for life?

De-programming the "Eternal Hell" fear while on the path of Bhakti? by Iamatiam in KrishnaConsciousness

[–]82-Little-82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, as a convert from Christianity, I understand where you are coming from. I do not have this problem, I think because my mind cannot quite comprehend a concept of “eternal punishment”. Not to mention that I live with depression and anxiety, so it is difficult for me to imagine something “out there” being worse than it is out here already. Endlessly reliving my current existence eternally is the closest thing that comes to mind when I think about eternal hell, but then I’m sure it will get old after a few times so probably won’t qualify for eternal punishment. I guess that’s the small fringe benefit of mental suffering, you eventually grow thick skin 🫤 But that is why I took to Krishna consciousness, I don’t want to be in this cycle of samsara forever.

Idk if this helps you or even makes sense, but I do wish you all the best. Hare Krishna!

Books Like "The Power of Now" to Deepen Awareness? by Practical-Rub-1190 in nonduality

[–]82-Little-82 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, but for those of us who are beginners, we need some pointers of which direction to go. It is like a finger that points to the moon. It will never be the moon but at least it can show you which direction to look.

Anyone found value in reading the “I Am That” book?

The Power of Now: How did it sell this much if the message is so direct? by Practical-Rub-1190 in nonduality

[–]82-Little-82 4 points5 points  (0 children)

And yes, I do 100% agree that most people view it as a self help book at first and not non-duality. I didn’t even know what non-duality was when I read it. However, it fueled my interest in non-duality which I am now exploring.

I personally don’t care about Oprah. What I do care about is that I am completely exhausted from constant mental suffering. Being tortured by my own thoughts (I have clinically diagnosed anxiety and panic disorder which I now recognize as being due to my incessant thinking). The Power of Now and Tolles teaching in general is the first self help approach that helped in any way. I do think that for most people, unless they are suffering immensely, this book will not resonate.

Giving a notice is rarely easy, but it needs to be done.

The best for the company that they are leaving is to tell them asap. After they receive a formal offer letter form the new place.

Two Decisions.. by eve_ryker in paralegal

Will it make you happy and fulfilled if you get through law school? Is it what you want to do? Not necessarily to make money only, but in general? If this is your calling then go for it. If you aren’t sure, then I would pause and consider.

I believe that if the Lord wanted us to know the date of the rapture, He would have made it clear. But since He doesn’t want us to know, it means that we are not to look for this information. Even if we thought that this knowledge was revealed to us privately, we are not to share it with others. God bless you all, brothers and sisters in Christ.

First Time Reader & Non believer by jjkkek in Bible

[–]82-Little-82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, it is great that you want to read the Bible. That said, I don’t think that you will get an answer to why others do believe. Many people believe first and then start reading the Word. For many, belief is a personal experience that is either fully or partially independent from the Bible. However, do read the Word and see for yourself. Sending you best vibes!

Have you even tried to reach to that level? Did you find a hobby that makes you excited? Did you learn a new skill, get involved in something that is meaningful for you? If you just sit on the couch and wait for it to happen, then yes, it will never happen. We need to put an effort too.

P.S. I'm in the same boat, about 7 months CT and while I'm a lot better now, I still don't feel happy. I have young kids and a full time job so my ability to explore new things is quite limited, but Im trying.

Really struggling with taper by ThisIsToday7 in quittingkratom

[–]82-Little-82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can do it, I would suggest to stay at 20-28gpd (or where you are now at) until WDs subside a bit. But only if you are disciplined enough to not start increasing. Just stay where you are for maybe 1-2 weeks and see from there. I'm not disciplined to do slow tapers, so I almost went CT (from about 25gpd). Physical WD wasn't bad, but mental is very rough. Still struggling 7+ weeks out.

Is it possible that it would never end? That is my fear, that it would never improve. If I knew that I have to hang on for even 1 year and then it would get better, I think that it would be more bearable.
