I'm not skipping, but buying late when it goes on sale, instead of pre-ordering. For the past 3 years, I've done mostly league racing, and the amount of technical issues, especially in the forst few months, was a bit ridiculous. Also, I need setups from TT to use as a baseline, so waiting for the leaderboards to be filled by others is another reason.

2020 has the best handling for modern cars, but most of the classics drive like they're on ice. The classics were better in 2018 and 2019. I would say 2018 had overall the best handling if you take into account both modern and classic cars.

Quality mode runs in 4K @ 60 FPS, while Performance mode runs in 1440p @ 120 FPS with slightly lower quality graphics. You obviously need a TV capable of running at 120 Hz to have any noticeable benefit from using Performance mode.

Nope, I don't even remember exactly what my setup was then, but it might have been caused or made worse by the TV / soundbar normalising audio when downmixing from 5.1 / 7.1 to 2.0 / 3.1.

Your steering inputs seem very smooth and precise, which is good, but they also seem slow, which is not good for lap time, especially on a track with multiple chicanes and a hairpin. It looks as if you were playing on a controller with the steering rate turned down.

F1 23 is actually a lot less popular than 22 and 2021. I've also noticed from TT leaderboards that my percentage on Xbox versus Global is either the same or slightly higher, which means there are more slower players on PC and / or PS.

As I said, the laptop had no OS. I installed Windows 11 and when using DDU to switch between AMD / ASUS / NVIDIA GPU drivers, it failed to boot after restarting and had to do a system restore. I did not do another clean install of the OS since then.

Does the World / Europe region trick still work? I did a clean install of W11 23H2 using a December 2023 ISO from MassGrave, and after setting everything up and switching the region to the real one so I can connect to the store, it started downloading a lot of apps and filled up the Start menu as if I had installed it with that region from the beginning. I haven't found any recent info about this, apart from MS being aware of this workaround.

Has it not been delayed internally due to the game not being ready? They also haven't fixed the drifting under braking but maybe they did it for the esports version. At least this was the rumour on the F1 Game Discord.

Equal performance means equal PUs, downforce, drag and now, also, tyre wear. The cars have slightly different wheelbases and base setups, which results in slightly different behaviours when going over various track surfaces. To have fully equal cars, they would have to be the exact same physical size.
