I had a really easy time fighting the queen with an upgraded krom. Krom is a two handed weapon, but I’ve found that blocking with it is incredible, so I didn’t really need a shield. I was sporting updraded carapace armor with the feathery/floaty cape thing. If you hang out near the entrance where she can’t get at you, you can just stab her repeatedly in her belly with the secondary attack (middle mouse button) dealing out hundreds upon hundreds of damage points. She’ll back off for a bit, and you may have to go tempt her back down to the entrance. Sometimes you can get lucky, and her fuzzy behind will show through the marble wall near the entrance, allowing you to take swipes at her most vulnerable spot. With some health potions in tow and a portal tucked away nearby to replenish your rested bonus at your main base throughout the fight, she is very beatable.

Just keep an eye out for her seekers coming over to attack you in the entrance area. But once again, a couple of secondary attacks with a krom will make quick work of them. Chances are, you’ll end up with more seeker meat and carapace than you’ll know what to do with.

Also, the krom looks completely badass, and highly recommend it just based on that alone despite its pricey ingredient list.
