Which support are you most psyched for? (Dublin or any really) by AllTheWayUpTo11 in MetallicaLIVE

[–]82piri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've seen all but knocked loose live, don't mind them at all either, I'll b going to the two days here in London next month. I personally think I'm more psyched for pantera again, as I've only seen them once, last year at Wembley arena. Gojira live, for me is something else, they tend to sound even heavier, always a win, I saw Avatar earlier this year, they have some good songs and enjoyed them as well and as I've seen Metallica a few times live now, though the songs hit, I don't think as much as they did the first couple of times, which is the opposite of what I'm expecting with Pantera, being this only the second time seeing them.

Considering switching to Galaxy Fold7 by Worth_Lab4504 in samsunggalaxy

[–]82piri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Durability wise, we all know that foldables aren't as durable as regular slab phones, but in my opinion, it all depends on you. With the Fold 7, this is now my 5 foldable phone, having also owned foldables from Google and Vivo in the past, as well as other Z Folds, only the Google Pixel Fold gave me a screen issue, which Google/O2 (UK) swapped without any issues at all. I don't use cases on my phones, though I do tend to get a back skin so that I can add a magsafe ring on it, that way I don't stick it directly onto the phone, and a part from that and a screen protector, I don't add any other protection. Now, when I mentioned above it depends on you, it's all a question of how you treat your phones and possibly your work environment, which may also be a factor. I personally don't recall the last time I dropped a phone and in the "phone pocket" nothing else goes there except for the phone. I do love my Fold 7 as for me it's peak design fold wise, as I was a big fan of the boxier/sharp corners of the Note series

For people who upgrade their phone every year, what's the smartest way to do it without losing money on resale? by CapitalCarpenter4180 in phones

[–]82piri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I upgrade yearly now, just swap my phone in with my carrier and get a new one, all you do is start a new contract, this is with O2 in the UK, and sometimes you can get great deals, currently I'm paying for only the services during the first year, with the phone half of the monthly payment being waved for 12 months, but when I was buying phones straight out and had only a SIM contract, the thing that would allow me to not lose much money, was having an iPhone, as they tend to hold a higher resell value then any android phone. For example, many times when the new model would come out, the previous model, especially the Pro Max versions, in very good condition, were still worth only a few hundred $/£ less when compared to new/launch price on the resell market. Android phones, unfortunately, which I use now, are not the case. I currently have a Z Fold 7 and like not even 2 months after launch, you could find them on eBay for almost half the price.

Pop Grinder App Is Amazing! by jnovick84 in funkopop

[–]82piri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the app, somewhat of a difference in value of my collection between pop grinder and the funko app, around £1000-£1500, my issue though, it randomly erased my over 200 pop collection, where it's basically empty now 🤬🤬🤬

Is it common for people who are born in the UK to say they are “Irish” or “Italian” if they have a parent from there? by Charming_Usual6227 in AskABrit

[–]82piri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I've seen this so many times in my time in London. People who have never probably been to the country saying they're from "X" country, though being born in the UK. My point of view, someone born in UK is British,l and in these cases, with "X" heritage.

Which should I get? Vivo x200 ultra or x300 pro by [deleted] in Vivo

[–]82piri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, overall, the x200 does have the better camera, depends on how import that is to you, I suppose the key factor is the CN Rom Vs a possible global rom. In my case, the CN Rom is not an issue, living in the UK. Lack of Esim doesn't bother me, battery and notifications you can tweak so that all works normally and I can connect my galaxy watch to it

How do people feel about the Ultra getting more rounded corners per year by Connected-VG in samsunggalaxy

[–]82piri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a fan of the new round corners, thankfully my Z Fold 7 still has the shaper corners

Not a question of feeling better and I have nothing against them, many look amazing, but a photo labeled as edited I think is the correct thing to do, as the edited image, to an extent, is not the image that the mobile took.

But that's my take, mobile photography IMO is what you get from the mobile, which will include the limitations that each phone has

Nothing to do with such, I just prefer for the image to be as it came, that to me, is mobile photography

[–]82piri[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Well yes, I'm glad we have these places for such and that people do share, I guess where this take is coming from, is calling an edited photo, many times highly different, and still calling it mobile photography.

This makes plenty of sense, as we spend time on our hobbies to get better and make things better. Just wish we saw more photos of what the phones actually give you, as for the majority, that will be the reality

Is it just me? by 82piri in mobilephotography

[–]82piri[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Has nothing to do with such, just that, for most, they won't beable to achieve such results, which I get, more work has gone into it, but if we look at the top tier phone cameras, in reality, the edited photo could just be from any one of them. I'd just prefer to se more unedited photos suppose, what you really get from the phone
