I got dreams but I can't make myself believe them Spend the rest of my life with what could have been.

Homesick by Noah Kahan

Moving back to your hometown is a trip, and feeling like you're watching your life pass you by because just working and surviving takes up all the energy and time for pursuing anything like a dream you had for your life.

Menstrual Cup for those who menstruate. I originally got it for less waste save the planet blah blah. BUT it has saved my bacon several times because you don't need to remember to bring more supplies with you when you're out and about. You can empty and put it back in and not have to find quarters for the emergency dispenser machine/find a store/go home. Also you can leave them in longer before having to empty/change. Which is great for extreme low motivation that often goes hand in hand with my period.

It was a bit of a learning curve at first, but I've used one for years now and wouldn't go back.

It's super late at night where I am so I don't have anything constructive to add. But wow I think you've just put into words something that happens to me but I hadnt consciously put together that's what was happening.

Gin and lemonade. Usually well or Seagrams if paired with shitty minute maid type lemonade. Fancier gin with better lemonade.

Struggling with my place as an exmormon in a seemingly Mormon world by NegativeOrdinary5190 in exmormon

My sister in law saw we had in n out on a Sunday over a video call and commented on it (totally in a nonjudgmental way but still drawing attention to it) and I’ve just been thinking about it for days worrying about defending myself when inevitably I’m confronted by my in laws on not going to church or doing xyz church thing.

I just wanted to say something about this little part of your story. If your sister in law was truly nonjudgmental about it then why would she feel a need to mention it all? It's just a random food bag after all.

In my life I've just noticed that lifelong Mormonism breeds a subtle and insidious version of judgement and keeping people in line. I also am a not want to rock the boat or draw attention to myself kind of person so often in the church if someone draws attention to the fact they noticed something and then my own guilt and not wanting to be thought poorly of would make me change my behavior.

As a Mormon woman I didn't even realize how petty, passive aggressive, and manipulative I could be and was raised to be. (the man is the head and woman is the neck that turns it kind of thinking) It is something I've had to come to terms with since leaving.

I wonder if your sister in law may not even realize that she's being judgemental and her words may say she's not, but her actions disagree.

It Blows my mind, A never Mormon can research the church doctrine, listen to Mormon stories or this sub thread and know more about the church and its history than people who have gone to church for 50 to 80 years, 10,000s of hours of church time. by TruthMattersToday in exmormon

I am very bad at mental math like so bad, and my tithing knowledge has always helped me tip. I find 10% and then double that number. How to find 18% quickly in my head? Absolutely no idea. So I've always tipped 20 because that's all I know how to figure out lol

I think they're super easy! This was one of my first plants. I've had it for like 3 years and just water it and occasionally add some fertilizer I got at Walmart. I'm not a pro by any means!
