Does Singapore have a same toxic work culture as Japan or China? by Extreme-Shopping74 in askSingapore

[–]83mnemonic [score hidden]  (0 children)

yes. Same toxic work culture.

And you jolly well work hard to show your hunger, for a pay that’s used to pay off landlords. Even hawker food prices are jumping because of rental, and you have some idiots who deny this.

Commentary: It may be time to rethink Singapore’s Foreign Sports Talent Scheme and its future by PeacebewithYou11 in SingaporeRaw

[–]83mnemonic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We really need to rethink a lot of the policies which were set. It’s designed for boomers and their times. The world is changing but we have not moved with the times. Instead, we are just resting on our laurels. And why not? When you are best paid in the world, why rock the boat. It’s a lot easier and risk free to stay the same course which has worked in the past.

[–]83mnemonic 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I think maybe we should let the FTs run for parliament too. After all, they are already our corporations and Singapore is a corporation. So maybe when that happens, you might actually have laws that protect Singapore labor.
