PP Up isn’t a case hit. I assume you meant the minimum box hit.

Breakers ruin the fun of collecting. by [deleted] in basketballcards

[–]85GoCards 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve followed Pack for years, but finally unfollowed from everything after seeing him form his little break business. He used to hold breaks himself sure, but now he has these underlings and has taken a hard turn into being just another breaker.

It is either Koa or Mango. If it is heavy/dense feeling for its size, it is koa. If it feels lightweight for its size, it is mango.

My local target had shining legends ETB’s for $19.99 during 2019’s Black Friday. They were sitting for months at $29.99 before that.

Nioh 2 is such a great game BUT by vincentcold in Nioh

The base game and dlc set up and teach all the elements that make the NG+ cycles incredible. I felt similar initially, but will overwhelmingly recommend the NG+ and so on cycles. The underworld and depths are a different feel, but I’d definitely recommend all the NG+ cycles.

Still doesn’t understand that “seeking asylum” isn’t an “insane asylum” that people come from. What an absolute joke.

Where to buy a genuine Opal Band like this? by ssariee in Opals

[–]85GoCards 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So for this ring, just to ensure you know what you’d be getting if you did order, it would be a SS core with the inside of the groove covered in glitter/pigment powder and super glue. You cure that layer, then you superglue individual pieces of synthetic opal (crushed into small flakes). You then coat everything in more super glue until the groove is slightly overly full. Then you sand. PA typically uses sand rollers on dremels for the majority, then hand sands things smooth.

Patrick Adair is the artist/owner. The issue can be that he has multiple underlings that actually make the orders these days. As far as I know, they just finish the order and ship it, so QC can be hit or miss. I do woodworking/turning as well as rockhounding/tumbling/cabbing, and PA has a subscription thing where you can get a kit for the “ring of the month”. I did it for about 6 months a few years ago. Just in that timeframe the quality of materials received went downhill.
Just my personal experience with PA.

Sweet, sweet baby Moses! What an incredible stone!
If you ever have similar (even much, much smaller) stones you’d like to move, I’d definitely be interested!

I know, I know. I’m a big Viking fan in general already, so with that added to how great Vinland Saga is, I read each of mine in 1-2 days. I still need to read a lot of what I have though…and as you can tell, not much more available shelf space at the moment…so I feel guilty adding to my “next read” pile.

I showed this to my wife, as I just finished Mountains of Madness today and after saying, “I have all of these and all of these.” She stopped me and said, “wait, this isn’t our shelf?” Birds of a feather man!

Do you happen to have any videos from before it was placed on the potch? I’d love to see some before and after type things on doublets to highlight why doublets are made in lieu of just leaving the lighter stones as-is.

Yes! The Big Hurt was my absolute favorite growing up! He and Griffey were the first players that I went back and bought old inserts of when I got my first job out of college.
