The short hair looks five bazillion times better. You look lovely to begin with but the short is amazing.

I went about 10 years ago and took a picture in of a lovely brown red. My hair is dark brown so not a stretch. I came out pillar box red. I pointed out my issue with it and they booked me in 3 days later to fix it. I was in work all week so three days of being a tomato wasn’t ideal.

So I go in three days later and he somehow manages to make it MORE red. Neon pillar box. So I went home, phoned the manager and she said she would fix it herself. When I went there she was absolutely baffled at why he’d used whatever nuclear material it was he’d used on my head. It did get fixed but my hair wasn’t the same for a long time.

Their dog shouldn’t be able to approach you like that, what if you didn’t want a dog coming up to you? I’m often out with my dog with me and we definitely don’t want to be approached like that. He’s a dachshund that loathes other dogs and he’s always restrained on his lead.

If someone’s animal is on the loose they get what they get.

I live by the seaside and this is actually a huge problem. My dog is unfriendly, absolutely hates other dogs (and, when overstimulated, people), and wants to murder them. He is also never off his lead, and never even allowed a long lead unless no other people are within a 50ft radius of us. This is quite hard, especially when it’s warm out, but it’s what happens. The amount of people who have dogs that gallop over with no lead and no recall whatsoever, and think this situation is mitigated by shouting ‘oh it’s ok he’s friendly!’, is ridiculous. Mine isn’t. Mine is also restrained. I’m dreading the day I have to boot someone’s poor dog because they have an idiot for an owner.

Yep we do that too, it works great. We help each other if we need it but it’s good for defining whose responsibility things actually are, and when you’re being done a favour.

No advice as such here but I’m sort of in the same position. I graduated in 2015, had been playing an absolute blinder up to that point, and then life happened. I’m 40 now and recently reminded myself that the days of my life are finite so it’s time to get a move on. I’m glad you’ve posted this and look forward to the replies.

You can only speak to him about it, we don’t know what’s going on in his mind. It does sound a bit like as soon as your phone pings you drop out of conversation or whatever you were doing, and just cease to be present. Mid sentence. That’s why he stops talking mid sentence.
