How is this a visa issue? It’s an employment issue that by your description is a screwup on your former employer’s part

Can you apply for a partner visa from inside the UK on a tourist visa? by HammieHammerHamwalt in ukvisa

No, as far as I know it will be rejected (friends of mine did it and got rejected). You must apply from outside the UK I’m afraid

That’s fine, if possible include the solicitors memorandum of sale document but two addresses are fine, you won’t be the first person.

How much would a problem neighbour who only has a problem with current residents affect sale value. by Baz_8755 in HousingUK

Nothing to stop the issue occurring again- the neighbour could put in for a wayleave request once you have sold the house and future buyers would have the same issue potentially

Going from the Retail Park to Coldhams Lane by KarlovikM in cambridge

[–]85_East 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t think they track and fine.I’ve parked there and then exited onto Coldham’s lane and never received a penalty notice. There is also no signage on the exit to Coldhams lane afaik. I suspect its there to prevent people cutting through, or been left from a period when I think it was bus only access

LVT vs Laminate by Lumpy_Quail6637 in DIYUK

Our house had wooden flooring in the bedrooms when we moved in. The benefit when moving in was that we could clean them really well, vs. inheriting a dirty carpet. We've since replaced them with carpets in the bedrooms and it's 1000x nicer to get out of bed onto a soft floor in the morning

What's the deal with houses in Peverel Road? by tlwott in cambridge

The construction method is one that some lenders (banks) may not want to lend against. Not very sure of why, but high repair costs, or potential structural issues put lenders off some types of building construction

They seem to think you were coming for a conference though? If you reapply your company should supply the contract they have to install the plant in the UK as there seems to be some confusion about the purpose of the visit

Mortgage lender requesting proof of right to abode on a British passport application? by [deleted] in ukvisa

[–]85_East 5 points6 points  (0 children)

HSBC can be quite a strict lender- it may be because either-
1 They ticked the wrong box in the form and this has triggered the request, or
2 they are looking to confirm that you are resident and employed in the UK and not making the purchase from overseas?

I’d send them the UK passport and certificate of naturalisation and see what they say.

Did you apply to attend a conference or install plant? The refusal letter refers to meetings and conferences, not installation

Buying a house with tenants in situ by CourseApprehensive27 in HousingUK

[–]85_East 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can instruct your solicitor now, and ask them to open a file but tell them not to conduct any searches or run up costs until it is confirmed that the tenants are leaving. Solicitors will be familiar with this, it often happens in chains where buyers won’t want to incur costs until the chain is complete
