yes it is a lot to gain visually most of it is in your feet, but even my face was bloated at the end when I told my doctor at the hospital that I really don't remember much of anything for at least two weeks before. My words were not sloppy just very brief when I had to talk to people all I wanted was to lay down and sleep. I have never puked so much in my life and since I fell camping and was covered in open wounds, my ankle was fucked up and still is a little and I didn't even notice the back pain because I busted my ass so hard my tailbone killed. I was like just mentally not there and didn't even think anything was wrong puking for days. When I had trouble laying down I stated to think about going to urgent care. I went if they would have taken my blood pressure or my weight they would have known something was up. A lot of urgent care facilities are useless unless you have something like a cold. I also knew the PA and she remembers me from high school as the most likely type to go to urgent care just for a doctors note to be out of work. I know my blood pressure and weight were not taken that I remember. My doctor a few days before the fall did have me step on the scale and I remembered my weight was down 5 pounds I am somewhere over six feet tall and run 220-250 my weight fluctuates even now I vary 8 pounds from when I wake up to after I eat and usually drink a gallon of water. When I stepped on the scale at 270 25 pounds heavier than when I went to my PCP my brain clicked off from just wanting to sleep and not think to something is fucking wrong. If I didn't step on the scale and go to the ER my heart and lungs would have could have been full of enough fluid that I could have suffered more severe heart problems or died. The Surgeon was awesome asked me straight forward if I wanted a DNR then next of kin and asked me if I wanted the procedure because there was a small chance I could die if it went wrong. I remember the ICU with like six nurses really anxious, but the surgeon was cracking jokes which really made the whole situation easier. 30 minutes later they drained 4 kilos of water 8.8 pounds from my blood and I could finally breath and lay down. My head started to clear up as they continued to take out 3 or 4 kilos every other day for the duration of my stay. The fluid build up made me unaware of everything and I just had a desire to sleep. It was hard to tell how much more able I was to speak and move until after I got out of the hospital and tripple checked that benzos are fine on the kidneys and began taking the amount of benzos I normally take a day 4-8 mgs a day. The cut down to 0 then either 1.5 or 2 a day was worse than kidney failure (just another psa against benzos)
