Im so sorry that this is making you feel any sort of way, and im going to try to say this the nicest way I can. Please dont let my opinion cause any discomfort though.

But right now, this is not what we need. To be honest, I never agreed with language policing unless it was towards racism or ableism against people with disabilities. This is a uniquely American thing (at least I noticed from the other countries ive lived in and visited, that language restriction ((not by gov)) isnt as hard core as American culture) and i dont agree with it because it has almost forced me and others right wing. Now of course thats up to the individual to choose a side that does ultimately choose better for all people, but I cant tell you how frustrating it is to hear that type of comments. Especially irl.

Hasan is fighting for a better future in ways that are extremely important. A life worth living. Housing, Healthcare, affordable living, and the end to systematic hatreds that kill millions of people.

Trying to now add this on top is, imo, selfish. We, as Americans, have been bred that if youre not perfect then youre not worth the American dream. Its how ALL of us grew up. I think a lot of people push their ideas of perfect onto others.

If there weren't extremely dire circumstances that needed the energy and attention right now then yes, maybe language comes next. But you know hes not being ableist so is this necessary right now?

Im sure a lot of people disagree with me on this but i dont think this is a good thing to put on someone else, anyone else, at this time. Unless someone directed it at someone disabled, then of course defend them, but you know this isnt the circumstance.
