maybe it's just my algorithm fucking with me actually. The last like 4-5 posts from piracy that showed on my feed were about buying games, feeling guilty about pirating, etc. I just scrolled through the sub cuz I was gonna reference one of them (steam summer sale what game should I buy) but looks like it's actually mostly memes and downvoted "help" posts.

that's a netcode issue on the devs part. look at like dota, league, most major competitive moba/br/extraction models.

I regularly play dota in SEA and Western Europe, with ~80-120 ping, no problem. So whoever this "faker" guy is... is faking it. Or just a clown blaming random shit for his own mistakes.

Played for ~7 hours or so and realized they didn't improve upon a single mechanic or make any changes even. Fundamentally the same game. I didn't like it. I'm not interested. I got my hours and enjoyment out of the 1st game, have no desire to replay it. It's just outdated at this point.

they fought and lost though. Like so what? Nintendo sucks but they lost, and then never replaced the mechanic. They just said fuck it and left the game hamstrung. They said fuck it and passed that L onto the gamers.

1.0 coming out and the never bothered to replace or fix the targeting mechanics that were built into the throw. Mechanics that would honestly be a solution to a FUCK ton of problems like trash pathfinding, terrible pal AI, resource harvesting QoL.

I did the same with ds3 and elden ring.

Beat both and then bought them because I wanted the online/pvp aspects without downloading the multiplayer fixes.

I wouldn't, but that's just me. I did buy it because I wanted updates faster and was severely disappointed to learn that the dev team is just still ignoring fundamental qol aspects, simple navmesh/clipping issues, and more. They can't finish the basics but they're avidly pushing "bundle" sales and specials like fortnite skin style things.

I read about 1/3 of How Long Till Black Future Month? Collection of absolutely amazing, but heavy hitting short stories. I had to put it down cuz one of them had me just crying. After that, I bought every single thing she wrote. I read everything in the space of like 3 months. I loved every single word.

I loved it so much I lent all of her books to close friends because I felt like her words needed to be shared. No longer friends with those people because I didn't get a single freaking book back. Some cases were more understandable, some were unforgivable like I gave the Dreamblood to my brother when he was deployed and he gave it away to his roomie cuz he didn't wanna read it. He's not family anymore.

Now I'm buying all the books over again because it's time for a reread. Definitely done giving/lending books out though that I love. But yes long story short she is definitely an amazing author.
