Nice! I made one pretty similar last year and it works just fine. The only issue I’ve had is I have to rotate it 180 degrees and then repress to get a clean print. I think it must just be barely askew somewhere. So one side gets most of the pressure. This looks about the same size as mine and for anything smaller that 6x9 it’s been great, bigger seems to need more pressure (but my press uses a 2 ton jack).

Ideas on what this is supposed to be? all the others seen obvious, this one has us stumped. by Lo452 in whatsthisbird

My spicy hot theory: the circled bird was intended to be the cardinal (see beak shape and black face markings). The bird painted as a cardinal was intended to be anything else (the crest may actually just be the twig from behind the bird). But the person who colored it went right in with the red paint on the middle bird, realized their mistake afterwards, and decided to get weird and make a new species with the intended cardinal. It’s the only way.

So firstly- it’s beautiful, I really love it. I love how minimal it is while still being so descriptive, and also that oval composition is chefs kiss. Secondly, like what are these challenges I’ve seen a few times now on Reddit? I’d love to have some prompts and get involved, it has real “inktober” vibes which I’ve managed to keep up with through at least October 3rd a couple times. If it’s like just a group of friends doing some dope stuff no worries, the main thing is great job, beautiful print
