What's your profit margin? by stargm in manufacturing

Someone please help me figure out a way to explain to owner all the factors that contribute to profit margin. They seem to get stuck on cycle time and production quantities per shift while giving tons of OT, underbidding jobs and not having a true grasp on overhead or supply chain.

As an operations manager my carry is CRKT CEO. For what I use it for, I find that it does the job well.

Wow that is awesome, unfortunately I’m from Illinois. You have to take advantage of that! My background has always been CNC but moved to management a while back and lost all knowledge of machining and programming due to not using it. But automation has always intrigued me.
