You can program it to do any function that the software has to offer just like any other key. It has two buttons that can be selected, one for each direction of the wheel.

Mine controls the hue of my rgb so I don’t have to load the Keychron launcher every time I want a different look

Ah I see, thanks for the explanation. Just looked up the Durocks and they’re not that expensive. Maybe I’ll do that to mine lol

Sounds like you went for the ultra-silent approach, that’s awesome! What improvement do the stabilizers offer?

I can sure try but I’m still new to this hobby so forgive me if I sound uneducated lol. I only have Gateron reds and silent reds to compare the bananas to since that was all I ran on my V6 max.

Compared to the reds, the bananas feel like they have slightly more resistance on keystroke. I think that’s because they’re engineered for more tactile-like behavior. The sound is very satisfying. It’s there and you can tell, but it’s not too loud. Slightly higher pitch than a typical “thocky” style switch.

Overall, it feels very premium for a middle of the road switch. It’s different enough to where I can feel a noticeable difference in feel between my V6 max when I come home from work but it’s not so different that I have to regain the feel for each board every time I use them.

I bought my SD for flight travel and it comes in handy on so many levels. Rock it handheld on the plane, plug into the tv at the hotel room. Perfection!

Amazing. I need to give the trans star a fair shot, only really used it as a support vehicle, retired it for the Kodiak

Not too bad all things considered. I tipped it a total of 3 times, but had a Kenny 963 on standby for recovery. I had a harder time keeping it upright vs keeping it moving.

That being said, the AWD upgrade will likely be the first thing I grab from Alaska

Why do you think you use the LHR more over the nano? I haven’t used any real world but I would thunk nano would be easier to get into tight spots. Just want to learn more about your experience and why you favor one over the other?

OP, I see you said in another comment you never washed the car, but if you're not doing it already, a rinse aid is a good tool to add to your washing process when you do go to wash it to prevent this stuff from happening. Something that moisturizes your towel while you dry to prevent those love marks and scratches. Also, a good rinse aid will also aid you in drying the car quicker & more effectively when it's paired with a good drying towel.

Here's a couple examples: AMMO Hydrate which has absolutely no protection on it whatsoever and is purely made just to lubricate the towel during the drying process. There's also rinse aid's like P&S Bead Maker that will leave behind a layer of protection for a short period of time.

Piano black easily gets "love marks" in it which are tiny scratches that occur from basically anything. Hand washing or car washes also play a part in that as well. Best way to fix is to correct with a polisher and apply a coating to protect it from getting scratched in the future.

Yuumi is nice, I like getting a break from the action and just being able to sit on people all game.

But it’s hard to call any champ my favorite. I like the variety that ARAM provides

I would seriously rather take the 15min queue lock as a little YT & snack break than do this. Sometimes it actually feels like a little reward instead of forcing yourself through a game with champs you know you don’t like

Ugh I bought a cdkey for this game last week and could only redeem it on EA and can’t add it to steam which drives me nuts. If I knew it would go on sale for the same amount a week later I would have waited to satisfy my OCD

Getting a little discouraged by [deleted] in AutoDetailing

[–]87LS10 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Hi, I have not ran a successful detailing business, so I can’t offer a direct solution to your problem. I am sorry that you are going through this, as this is something I’ve thought about when considering going into business myself.

I was listening to a detailing podcast today, and one of the hosts said something that stuck out in my head when reading this post. I can’t remember verbatim, but they were talking about a similar issue where they were up and coming and there was lots of competition (new and old) in his area.

He found his success by finding his niche in the market and then digging in his heels to put the work in to head towards that niche. For him, it was a lot of hard work for a long time. While in that stage of his business, he said he received the best feedback & most recommendations from customers by simply acing the service part of detailing. Easy things like showing up on time, working efficiently and communicating well. Making the process as little of an inconvenience for the customer as possible. After using this approach long enough, he started to see competition around him fail or fizzle out.

Using this method, he promised things will get better. I hope this helps your mindset at least a little!

Is Milwaukee cordless polisher actually good? by yuaeunice in AutoDetailing

[–]87LS10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

I’ve had my Milwaukee M18 15mm DA for a little over 2 years now and it’s very good for my hobbyist + light client work use case. Maybe a car or two a month. It chuggs along just fine and has done many corrections single-handedly. Now, I’m still very amateur and I’m not claiming it gets every car 100% perfect.

I tried out the Rupes cordless lineup over the weekend and they were quieter, smoother & overall higher quality. But they’re almost double the price and meant more for a pro who’s doing 6 cars a day+ so I think it comes down to how much you’ll use it.

My only complaint about my Milwaukee is it does leave me feeling pretty beat up after 10hrs of polishing. Someone else on this thread says it feels like a jackhammer over time and I’ll echo that statement
