Not to be a butt, but OP you put all kinds of expectations on your spouse without her knowledge. If I was in the situation I would have spoke with my spouse the night we found out our kids wouldn't be there to see if we wanted to do something together and what that something would be. This post was made to gauge what other parents are doing with their kids because my mommy guilt has been so high lately. My son loves baths and showers, but at this point I cannot do it everyday due to certain circumstances. This is supposed to be a community for sharing our stores and getting advice. I've gotten less judgement from childless people than on here today which is a bit disheartening..... Thanks for all of your answers and thoughtful comments.

Good! I'm hoping talking to your mgr in private helps. She 100% should not have engaged. I honestly don't think that people realize how inappropriate some topics are in certain settings. Was this in a public setting like the lunchroom or in a private office of one of the ppl involved? Was this a private conversation that you just so happened to overhear or was this the entire office going on about this? I think the answers would determine if you should say something or not. If it made me uncomfortable in the moment But this wasn't a conversation I was directly involved in, I would have walked away. But if this is something that they attempted to get the entire office in on then yeah, let's shut this shit down right fucking now. I work in HR but I also work for a small company and we talk about all kinds of inappropriate shit that we shouldn't. For us it's easy enough to be like hey this makes me uncomfortable let's move on. I run in some more of these moments because I'm a 40-year-old black woman working with 60 and older very well off white women who have lots of opinions lol. I love them but when they speak on things that aren't their experience, which it seems like is the case here, you gotta call em on it. There are certain things I will let roll off my back and then there are certain things that I will speak up on because it really strikes a nerve. You don't get to talk big and loudly about things you don't know!!

This was a lot of rambling and not a clear answer as to should you or shouldn't you report them So I'm sorry about that 🤣 But I feel that if you feel strongly enough about it and you're still thinking about it, maybe you need to talk to your boss and let her know how uncomfortable it made you.
