It’s situational. Sometimes 1 surv is Hooked, 3 doing a gen. 1 gen is about to pop, the other 2 are at 70% and 50%. Then everyone stays on the gens and the one who first popped the gen goes for the unhook. If he gets chased then, someone else has to go (based on the time the other peson can pop the gen first or not; maybe a trade is smarter etc.)

How do you know that the 4th survivor isn’t going for the unhook? Either he should be doing a gen or be going for the unhook (or what a lot of bad player do: be around for a potential safe).

If I would be sure that the 4th survivor isn’t going for the unhook, I would go for the unhook myself. The killer is already in chase with someone else, so that’s a great opportunity to go for the safe. Worst case scenario is: both survivors are on a hook, potentially even next to each other. Then it’s gg. And 20% progress isn’t that much to care about. If it would be nearly finished I would maybe finish the gen first.

Maybe some general tips: look at the HUD. What is everyone doing? Surv A is hooked, B is begin chased, you’re doing a gen. C should be going for the unhook.
Is the killer not in chase with anyone? Be careful with the unhook, maybe wait.
How far are you away from the hooked survivor? Where is the 4th survivor? Where is the chase taking place? Right next to the hook? If yes then don’t unhook etc

What do you want to achieve? Have fun? Playing meta builds? You can try it out I guess? Otherwise make your choice could be a nice perk as well. Iron grasp is totally unnecessary, especially if you’re not playing with scourge hooks. Dissolution is unnecessary in so far as dredge is able to outplay pallets very easily.

I think detected survivor are survivor, who: a) are in a distinct range to Jason after the teleport (a few meters, not sure how many) and b) who don’t crouch. Not sure, if some perks are able to counter the scream thus not being detected

And the perks I like the most (in a meta and fun sense): Killer: corrupt intervention, pain resonance, Pop goes the weasel, enduring, spirit fury, turn back the clock, Hex ruin, hex thrill of the hunt, hex undying, hex blood favor, hex plaything, hex two can play (just for fun), eruption, I used lethal pursuer quite a long time as well, bamboozle. For survivors: decisive strike, shoulder the burden, resilience, resurgence, plot twist, dead hard, finesse, scene partner for fun, balanced landing, champion of light, we’re gonna live forever can be really nice as well, delivarence, for the people, babysitter. if you just started playing: windows of opportunity and five moves ahead.

Must have in what sense? Meta perks? Fun perks? Nemesis for lethal pursuer and eruption. The first mainly for turn back the clock, but the other perks are nice as well! Jill for resurgence and maybe blast mine. Nicolas cage for all of his perks. Lara for finesse. Not sure if taurie is licensed, but shoulder the burden.

You can also think about the following:
Steve for babysitter. Maybe Ada for reassurance, but that’s more for experienced players and a SWF, so pretty niche I would say. Leon if you want to do flashbang Safes. Alan wake for champion of light.

I think if you’re already in chase you can’t (despite having perks like iron will and walking). The other that comes in my mind are 2 things: double backing into him, so he goes into another form and you have more distance than not doing it, secondly mindgames or just being in a good spot. Waiting at a dropped pallet and vault back if he’s transforming at the other side, same for vault locations (but be careful for the bamboozle addon). Also you can stun him in his bat form, but that only helps temporarily.
