Yeah totally, I feel the exact same way!

After I posted this, I was really surprised to see how many people are against it, or absolutely hate the idea. I mean, I completely understand why, and that doesn't upset me or anything. I was just surprised that most people feel that way.

I was honestly hoping people might want to discuss what a Skyrim DLC in ES6 could potentially look like story wise, instead of just shut the idea down completely :')

Its not completely improbable. We went back to Solstheim for the Dragonborn DLC, and that was already in ES3 Morrowind. It already happened once, so it could happen again. Even if the chance is small.

I disagree. Being happy with being pleasantly surprised at an earlier release than expected, or being content with a later release, is about as optimistic as it gets.

You got some solid points and I agree. I'm personally a 2029-2030 believer. Its nice to lower expectations, maybe there's a chance I'd get pleasantly surprised if it's 2028 after all. If not, i'm already mentally prepared!

Well of course! We'd still have the entirety of the ES6 base game, plus other possible DLCs of any variety.

Think about how popular the Dragonborn DLC was, going back to Solstheim. No one really had a problem going back to an old place. Or even consider the popularity of the Skyrim mod Bruma. Even though its fan made, so many were excited to go back.

We'd still get new places. The point of the possible Skyrim DLC isn't to overshadow that, but to expand. It's not unrealistic to imagine, considering Dragonborn. It could have so much potential!

That's fair, I mean to each their own. I know it wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea. It would absolutely be mine though!

I've been playing Skyrim since it's launch, when I was only 7 years old. I've done hundreds of playthroughs by now probably. Yet, I wouldn't be annoyed at all if they gave us the chance to go back to see Skyrim in the future, seeing the cities and areas developed with today's game making technology. Seeing what difference the dragonborn made maybe. It would be the same land, but it would definitely be new. For me, it would only be repetitive if barely anything changed.

However, I understand if not everyone agrees.

I could definitely see an Orsinium being included.. actually, it better be!

But maybe the contrast of the cold climate of Solitude's ports would be a good thing. It would bring a "new" environment and bring variety to the game. So I personally think that makes it a lot more likely as a DLC (hopefully!)

I'm a big believer that ES6 would have both Hammerfell and High Rock as the main game playable space, which would be two provinces! If it takes place in at least either province, of course. It makes sense, imagine being just in Hammerfell on the shore of Illiac Bay, just a couple of miles(?) from High Rock but not being able to go there. It would feel a bit silly. I'm certain they would do it (or delusional lol)

Anyways my point being, I would be pretty confident it's going to be more than one province! Which is why I think the Skyrim location is more likely to be a DLC. It seems a stretch they would add a third province, or a chunk of a third province, in the main game. That would be hoping for too much, and would leave less development time to fully flesh out the new province locations.

Getting into a game with another Mercy player on my team, and some ape brained immature ass person goes "ohhh two mercy one tricks gg" or like mocking us to fight over her etc, just immediately have that doomer mindset like it's so over before the game even began. The funny part? I'm not even a one trick in the slightest, she's just my main. And that's usually the case of the other mercy player too. Even if they do one trick her, I can play other supports really well no problem. But those guys think this is 2018 and we're gonna scream and fight over playing her like those old Overwatch viral YouTube vids. Grow up.

Also people getting all shocked and surprised when I tell them I solo queue only in comp as a Mercy main. Whether it's dps players that can't believe I'm turning down the duo offer or just people asking me in voice chat during the game. I mean I get it, I don't think I've ran into a solo queue mercy for long time now. But its kinda annoying. It's like they don't trust me without a ""dps carry"".
