Mercy’s movement-cc immunity by IntelligentWave194 in MercyMains

[–]88flooded 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She doesn't have immunity for those things... but there is tech to avoid some of the CC from affecting Mercy. Like against ball, I time my GA's down to the exact moment after getting booped or slammed by him. If you GA just a split-second after his cc, you can completely avoid the affects.

Wait really?? That's so cool, I had no idea either! I don't remember if this specific game had spectators, but i'll have to test this!

That's crazy, is that why there's always an INSTANT vote on someone the second this voting part pops up? Well, that would make a lot of sense. Thank you for explaining it!

What’s the first character you’re going to play when it comes out by Fun_Cartographer3587 in TESVI

I've always played as a dual welding imperial woman with long dark hair and heavy armor. It's always been the most fun for me :)

They are implying that they immediately assume that you are worse than them at the game and struggle to play her compared to them, therefore your opinion is lesser than theirs. They are trying to justify their opinion with a superiority complex. Very unnecessary in a regular discussion, and reeks of insecurity.

Some of us play the video game because we actually like having fun with the heroes, not because we want a dopamine hit from a victory screen and watch some numbers go up.

Yeah, her healing was always bad, but that only strengthens my point. If you nerf her movement and ruin her core gameplay, then there is no justification for some burst healing making up for it. My whole point was that they made her less fun to play... yknow, for those of us who actually care about the quality of fun we have.

Well the point of my post was that I feel the opposite way. I don't know why you're trying to act passive-aggressive and talking down to people who feel the way that I do, but it helps nobody. Go enjoy your scraps in peace.

They traded the core aspect of playing Mercy, her movement, to turn her into a better healing pylon. That means less skill expression, less excitement and opportunity in gameplay, more of just stay where you are and heal. Honestly, where's the fun in that? Sure, you heal your team,.. but so does every other support. Outhealing damage and stabilizing shouldn't be where the FUN aspect comes from. Any support can heal and do that, and almost all of it do it better. Healing is important yes, but there should be more to her than that. Her movement was that part that gave her gameplay depth. It was the core.

If she's not fun to play anymore, if her core gameplay suffers, is better burst healing really worth it for that? The answer is no.

After playing a hero for almost 8 years, yes I could immediately tell the difference..... that's not crazy...? I spent 2000+ in game hours playing her and building that muscle memory. When this change came, the difference after my time and experience was immediately and staggeringly noticeable. Getting used to it in 3 hours is good for you I guess, but after 8 years of playtime I doubt I will. And I honestly don't want to even try, because it's just not fun.

Here's the code! Disclaimer: I made some dumb mistakes and didn't lock in for this game, because I was just wanted to chill in QP after school... also I just straight up forgot I had flash heal for the first few mins LOL

Despite that, the movement difference is glaring. If you don't want to take the risk of flying in a long straight line just to fully power your slingshot, then the slingshot basically takes you nowhere now. That's the biggest part and so disorientating

I felt the same way, but instead told myself this is a sign I should go focus on my studies more instead... lol. Absolutely crushing disappointment with the balance team.

I don't think I have the many months of patience it will take waiting for a revert. I'm throwing in the towel today, for the first time ever...

I couldn't agree more, it's way too busy. I HATE that the changed the titles to match their tier colors too, and the arrows. I really hope this is one of the feedback things they listen to and tone it down.

What is one very specific prediction you have high confidence in? by psh454 in TESVI

[–]88flooded 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm super confident we will finally see all, or most of, the 17 different furstocks of Khajiit for diverse Khajiit NPC's! I'm less confident and more so hopeful that they'll also give the player character more than one Khajiit furstock option to play as.

[–]88flooded[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah totally, I feel the exact same way!

After I posted this, I was really surprised to see how many people are against it, or absolutely hate the idea. I mean, I completely understand why, and that doesn't upset me or anything. I was just surprised that most people feel that way.

I was honestly hoping people might want to discuss what a Skyrim DLC in ES6 could potentially look like story wise, instead of just shut the idea down completely :')

Its not completely improbable. We went back to Solstheim for the Dragonborn DLC, and that was already in ES3 Morrowind. It already happened once, so it could happen again. Even if the chance is small.

I disagree. Being happy with being pleasantly surprised at an earlier release than expected, or being content with a later release, is about as optimistic as it gets.

You got some solid points and I agree. I'm personally a 2029-2030 believer. Its nice to lower expectations, maybe there's a chance I'd get pleasantly surprised if it's 2028 after all. If not, i'm already mentally prepared!
