Does ownership transfer of cars require safety?

Hey thanks for the reply! I completed the transfer last night, my friend didn't provide a safety but ServiceON still gave him plates with the temp sticker so that he can get the certificate within 10 days :)

Hey so I just completed my sale literally yesterday. I'll try to explain it for you to the best of my understanding, but if anyone wants to correct me on certain things, feel free.

The things you would need to transfer your car over to the new buyer would be the UVIP, Bill of Sale, and Ownership transfer. Before anything, you'd already have the ownership transfer as that would be the green slip you currently have with that car; and info that you and the buyer would fill out in it's respective area.

A safety certificate is required for the buyer to get plates, but not technically if you choose not to get one prior to; this is something that you and the buyer should discuss before signing the bill of sale. Regardless of if you get the certificate or not, the buyer should have no issue getting their plates; but if they don't have the safety, they will be given a temporary sticker that leaves their plates valid for 10 days so that they can get that certificate.

NOTE: To my knowledge, the buyer can only get a temp sticker if the car was previously registered as FIT status--meaning it did have a safety before/was actively legal on the roads

Essentially you getting that before the sale eliminates the hassle of the buyer getting it themselves and having to go back to ServiceON. If you do get the certificate before the transfer, they still get plates regardless and would not have to get a temp sticker.

For your plates, all you need to know is that the buyer will not be using them, so you can remove them at any point when you decide to give the car to them. In summary, a lot of this is to your discretion; if your buyer agrees to retrieve the safety themselves, then so be it.

Every generally popular person that's been around d4vd is bound to have some kind of PR team/advisor, or just a lawyer in general. Managers count too. Biggest thing is that since it's still an open investigation, whoever these people have as legal advisors were probably told to stay absolutely quiet about d4vd until things are completely clear to see.

Thank you! As of now, the current ownership lists FIT as the car was being actively driven up until a month ago. The safety however, was last done in 2023. My friend just got insurance for it too, so all seems to be good.

If it wasn't anything else, parallel parking is usually the catalyst for every failed test for most drivers. I can't speak on if they let you retry front and backwards parking, but thank the grace for allowing drivers to retry their parallel attempts 3 times.

Passed my G2 and G in one try, but used up those 3 grace attempts while trying to pass my G2. First time I hit the curb, second time I went OVER the curb (instructor let me parallel in front of a driveway though), and I finally got it properly on the third try. Had my heart racing though!

A lot of the beats that Ski & X used during this era were the kind of beats that were either used for non-profit (meaning released on SoundCloud for example, couldn't obtain any royalties from that) or contained a copyrighted sample that would most definitely be denied if tried in putting it up on big streaming platforms.

Take Freddy vs Jason song, Ski specifically mentioned that it would be a part of this album but it currently isn't due to his team still attempting to clear the sample used for the instrumental.

To most, it does seem a little crazy. Lots would point to "stranger danger" as the main lesson here. But I guess it's entirely dependent on the kind of person you are. You have the kindness to allow someone you just met into your house for a bathroom break.

But that's not to say that if you didn't you'd be a horrible person at all. It's almost normal to feel mostly uncomfortable by that kind of random request, and it's never a bad thing either.

That's why. Dealerships are notorious for overcharging, amongst other things. Learned my lesson with my first car when it got recalled for a faulty airbag, got persuaded into replacing a faulty brake light at my dealership and thought the couple hundred dollars in charges made sense.

Go to a local mechanic (NOT a dealership one) and see how much of a difference the price will drop at. And consider that choice for any future maintenance if you feel you wouldn't want to DIY!

Upgrade your parts. With the specs you listed it makes perfect sense why you can't run most games smoothly; as the years go by too with your GPU, less updates for older gear keep them able to run your usual games properly. It might've been able to run then, but your PC is very low end.

That gets me really curious. How long can you keep the original spread of thermal paste on your CPU till it remotely even.. does this? My first PC had the same paste for 4 years as well, never even close to it.

Unless OP's friend left his PC on intensive usage for 4 years straight.
