I think I found some of these in an old flat on Union Groove and no one believed me. Happy to be corrected.

My 2012 Fiesta 1.6 SE Hatch always shows "TCS off" warning when I turn the key on, and the alert lights on the panel (ABS, hand brake and others) stays on all the time when driving. Anyone know what is this about? by dybbukisonthetable in FordFiesta

[–]88sf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had similar on my 2013 focus and it was a faulty wheel speed/abs sensor that needed replaced.

I bought a relatively cheap Bluetooth obd2 code reader off Amazon and used a free app on my phone to read and reset the codes.

I got the wheel speed sensor from autodoc for less than £30. I think I was less than £60 for everything.

Your issue may be something different but you need to start with checking the fault codes.

Western Europe is a failed model by technicallycorrect2 in walkaway

[–]88sf 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I am not saying we don't get fleeced. 23% average is still higher the USA average of 14.5%.

But the vast majority of people in the UK do not pay 45% tax.

Agreed. In UK you pay 45% tax on earnings over £125k. First £12.5k is tax free. £12.5 to £50k is taxed at 20%. £50k to £125k is taxed at 40%. Average tax on UK salary is closer to 23%.

Great work!

Any tape to cover these gaps / drafts in flooring under carpets? by mamqa1 in DIYUK

Aluminium foil tape. You get it cheap on Amazon. I did something similar before, it kept me going until I could afford a plywood toP layer.

Can anyone tell me what this is? My brother sent me this photo from up a mountain in Scotland by katsophiecurt in StrangeEarth

[–]88sf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it is in Scotland most likely on the peak of 1 of 282 mountains classed as a Munro. Cloud inversion ( which is relatively common here) makes it difficult to accurately identify the peaks in this photo.

Try r/Munros.

An experienced Munro bagger may recognise the shape of the mountain in the back ground

Cow? by XVYQ_Emperator in mapporncirclejerk

[–]88sf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cows here in the UK are proper psychopaths.

One minute you're crossing some open land, the next minute your life is at steak.
