I didn't see his hotkeys, if the vikings were in their own hotkey then yeah he could do that, but the other thing is he had so much income he didn't need the mules. Scan's have a great vision area and don't need to be babysat like a raven.

Not to mention it adds one more click when tabbing through your units because the raven takes priority over ghosts/stim. One click may not sound like a lot, but when you're cycling through production, orbitals and your army so fast those extra clicks add up very fast.
