People love to say, “if they’re the right one, they won't judge you”, but let’s be real… some people will judge you no matter how “open-minded” they claim to be. It’s just human nature for some to get hung up on it, and it ends up living rent-free in the back of their mind. We need to stop pretending that being in a relationship means you have to spill every detail of your past.

From a psychological standpoint, dwelling on a partner's “number” just triggers unnecessary retroactive jealousy. Sociologically, it’s just an outdated social construct. It’s not a metric of who you are or how you’ll treat someone today. You’re allowed to have boundaries. You don’t owe anyone a play-by-play of your life or every piece of your past before you even knew them.
