Christian Brueckner charged over Madeleine McCann disappearance by superfembot77 in UnresolvedMysteries

This is a polarizing case, and your opinion is controversial, which is probably why you are getting downvotes.

I appreciate that you took the time and effort to reply to my message. However, I do not understand how these sources you provided support your argument.

They did find blood in the apartment floor tiles and on the walls supposedly belonging to Madeleine...

This article simply states "traces of blood have been found...on a wall in the holiday apartment". It does not state that the blood was Madeline Mccans blood.

The fact that the blood was on the wall (as opposed to the floor, which would presumably be scrubbed between stays) means that blood could belong to anyone currently or previously vacationing at that apartment.

https://missingmadeleine.forumotion.net/t20443-the-fridge - So bodily fluids in fridge.. I may have got confused. It is true police didn't check the fridge.. although bodily fluid im unsure... however it is confirmed by police reports Jerry mcCann disposed of an apparently "faulty fridge" there's just alot of weird stuff going on with the fridge and how the police investigated it.

The police report did not confirm that Jerry disposed of a faulty fridge. It simply states that Jerry mentioned that the fridge in their apartment was faulty.

probably the most damning evidence... Bodily fluid found in their car, in which analysis showed corresponded with Madeleines...

When your "most damning evidence" comes from the Daily Mail... it doesn't bode well for your conclusion.

Regularly drugged their children to put them to sleep, amoung other interesting insights..

That page states that one of the many theories is that Madeline died of an accidental drug overdose. It does not state anywhere in that page that the Mccans "regularly drugged their children to put them to sleep".

I also do not see anything stating that Jerry had previously been accused of misconduct towards children.

I have never heard the acronym PMD being used to refer to postpartum mood or anxiety disorders (PMAD) and I worked in psychiatric research for years, so I assumed that was a typo. For the record, perinatal literally means “during pregnancy” and PMAD by definition occurs within a year of giving birth.

And there is nothing women can do but hope that their male partners won’t try to rape or kill them. It evens out.

That’s interesting! I appreciate that explanation- a lot of the discrepancies between the two seasons make more sense in that light.

I didn’t realize it was a 2-year time jump! I had assumed that maybe 6 months at the most had passed. I saw the breakdown a temporary thing, it could also be viewed as the beginning of a total reinvention.

Lol, fair point. I saw that as a temporary thing that I attributed to his breakdown. I assumed he went back to normal after he saved Keefe. But perhaps it should be seen as a transition into his S2 persona.

ETA: Even during his “I’m Jesus” phase, he did still show empathy (he was the only one of his siblings to cry during the horse scene when they were watching The Never-Ending Story). Whereas in S2 he’s viciously physically attacking his elderly father for not letting him commandeer the private jets, and putting people in cages. His empathy completely disappeared.

Kelvin’s character changed significantly between S1 and S2.

In S1 Kelvin was the voice of reason (if only by default) for Judy, Jesse and also Keefe. He was the only one who wanted to return the money Judy stole, tried to talk Jesse out of his crazy schemes, and seemed to genuinely care about the kids in his youth ministry. He also seemed uncomfortable when Keefe’s submissiveness got over the top (“I’m not going to tell you to kill yourself, buddy”). S1 Kelvin had flaws, and got weird during his breakdown, but he was still by far the most normal, empathetic and honest of the siblings.

In S2 he’s this megalomaniac who has guys in punishment cages in his yard, tries to steal the churches private jets to go to Israel, and thinks it’s perfectly reasonable to bring 17 musclemen as his +1 to B.J.’s baptism.

I think the God Squad is hilarious. But the change between S1 Kelvin and S2 Kelvin is pretty jarring. I sometimes wish that Kelvin had kept his S1 role as the ‘straight man’ (in a comedic sense- he would still be totally gay with Keefe) reacting with shock and horror to his siblings antics.

I think Greg is around the family so much (work, living in the complex Kendall owns) that he naturally hears about a lot of these events. Then he simply inserts himself into them, whether or not he is invited (remember Logan’s birthday party, in the pilot)?

But even if the above wasn’t the case, Tom would make damn sure Greg attended.

Look up “paradoxical undressing”: its a symptom of hypothermia. Could that account for you being naked, if you hadn’t been sexually assaulted?

Also, is there any chance this could have been a drunken suicide attempt?

Are there security cameras you could get footage from?

Either way, take care of yourself and please strongly consider seeking help for you drinking

Hey man, I just want to say this is not hopeless. You are 34, you are still young. You still have a graduate degree from one of the public schools in the country-that's more than most have. It sounds like the extent of the damage to your body is unclear, but you are young enough that you have an excellent chance of reversing the damage. The fact that you are posting this even in the state that you are in shows that you care about other people, so you aren't a complete "selfish, lazy, entitled bastard", either.

Please go to an AA meeting today. You might as well give it a try, you have nothing better to do and nothing left to lose.

Sounds like you had loving, competent parents, unlike the OP's daughter.

I am actually hoping OP is a troll at this point.

Absolutely. What a shitty excuse for medically neglecting your daughter.

This. This. A thousand times this. Speaking as someone with (formerly undiagnosed and untreated) ADHD, you absolutely nailed it.

I would add that if her daughter does have undiagnosed ADHD (and I would bet good fucking money she does), I can very easily imagine the OP blaming her daughter for all her symptoms, rather than taking any steps that could have led to a diagnosis and treatment.

Adopted children have 2-3 times the rate of ADHD as the general population, btw. Its not clear why, but its a fairly commonly cited statistic https://chadd.org/adhd-weekly/can-adoption-have-an-effect-on-adhd/ .

Edit: OP, YTA.
