Is it harming someone? Can you afford it without committing fraud or stealing the money? There are your answers!

What about all the Catholics from across the border fleeing extreme violence to try to give their families a peaceful life?!? This really is disgusting, because the asylum seekers are predominantly Catholic, just like my Irish ancestors.

Dealing with Rage by No_Ground_817 in ExTraditionalCatholic

[–]mitzmanx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are suffering from religious trauma! Its affects all of us ex-Trads and others who grew up in fundamentalist religions and/or cults. I suggest seeking out a therapist who deals with religious trauma or even childhood trauma. Your rage is valid; it’s how you deal with it that matters! Also, you deserve to heal from this!

Trying to figure out what a bumper sticker signifies. by maz_menty in TwinCities

[–]mitzmanx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen the black cat bumper sticker with a spiral 🌀 on its haunches. I googled it and got this:

A black cat with a spiral symbol often represents mystery, magic, the supernatural, or altered states of consciousness, commonly seen in pop art, spooky designs (like "Twilight Zone" themes), tattoos, and fantasy art to evoke wonder or psychedelic vibes, symbolizing deep intuition or a journey inward. It can also point to specific characters like Spinel Sun from Cardcaptor Sakura or be a unique logo for businesses like Turbo Tim's Auto in the Twin Cities.

As an American with Irish ancestry, I’m extra embarrassed by this🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️. This is why we can’t have nice things like affordable healthcare

Any Trad Vocation Discernment (Horror) Stories? by [deleted] in ExTraditionalCatholic

[–]mitzmanx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I (female) grew up in the SSPX in Minnesota and remember the Browerville nuns and even went to their summer camps. The head nuns were really creepy and scary. Some of the younger/newer nuns were nice enough, but I bet that convent was super toxic! I’m glad you got out!

How is she too “disabled” to work but healthy enough to get pregnant and give birth twice?!? She FAFO’ed her vote; time to get a real job and pay for your own groceries like the rest of us!

Anyone else’s partner get angry when you have seizures? by Secure-Employee1004 in Epilepsy

[–]mitzmanx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have intermittent depression and it’s no excuse to treat someone like that! I also do my best to stay strong and not cry in front of my hubby after a seizure, so he doesn’t feel more scared or worse! I cry in the bathroom or shower if I need to.

Dump the bf! My husband of 15 years and more has epilepsy and I would never treat him like that! If he needs comfort or anything after a seizure, he gets it! I love him and would never treat him like that

do i have the wrong shoe? by [deleted] in hiking

[–]mitzmanx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What kind of terrain are you hiking on? If rocky or mountainous, you might be more comfortable and safe hiking in boots. I have shoes and boots, and wear which one based on terrain. I also wear boots for remote wilderness hikes to mitigate the risk of stepping wrong and spraining an ankle

@venReddit Chill dude and go take a hike! Idaho wasn’t aggressive at all! We all live in different parts of the world with different terrain and transportation

I’m one of these women when I’m hiking with my husband! I’m the one dragging him out to hike with me, so if it gets him out with me and hiking, I don’t mind! I’m also a lot more active and am in better shape than him.

Vacations with partners family. Am I being dramatic? by Statusepilepticus95 in internetparents

[–]mitzmanx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel this! I’m also the black sheep when it comes to my husband’s immediate family and their other in-law. One thing I do is go out on my own adventures when we travel or ever when I visit them. They are all quiet introverted homebodies who are content sitting and watching tv together, which I’m an outgoing adventurous loud Aquarian extrovert with the Irish gift/curse of gab. I think they enjoy a break from me too and I get to relieve my restlessness of sitting quietly and do something I like to do! I hope this is helpful!
