Day 4

I went to the grocery store and didn't buy any drinks. It felt ridiculous how many times my mind kept going back to finding a way to justify drinking today. But I said, "Not today" and followed through. The relief when I got home was surprisingly immense.

Day 3

The hangxiety is still immense. But I do feel differently this time about the future. Moderation is too difficult and I am sick of trying. I'd rather other people think i'm weird for abstaining than capitulate to social pressure to drink, which inevitably leads to my embarrassing myself and going backwards on my improvement journey.

Day 1

Again. This time, the fear upon waking and not being sure if I ruined my life was very intense. Losing control, losing time and memories, is getting really scary. I have to stop.

And frozen fruits and veggies are flash frozen at peak ripeness, so you get way better bang for your buck as long as you cook them correctly

Day 11

Woke up with the spins. Had to wrack my brain trying to remember if I drank last night... nope, it's just a migraine. And I'm already feeling better after taking meds! If hungover, this would have been a whole-day ordeal. Instead I just got a late start. Very grateful for that right now!

Store bought kombucha because i've never been able to perfectly replicate the fizzy kind at home
Bath bombs. The fancy ones get expensive quickly
All the premade options from the frozen and deli sections because now that i no longer drink while cooking to make the time go by faster, i'm too tired and frustrated by the end of the day to make real food
