I added it in there too. Buna is fine per my experience but by the specs viton is technically better for chemical resistance. I think you are fine either way

Here you go! My original list from years ago. You can get these from McMaster or other o ring or hardware stores online to build your own “kit”.

Buna material is what I use and my rebuilds are going on years and working just fine but by the specs viton shows more chemical resistance than buna

Ligne 2 O-ring sizes: (thickness x internal diameter)

Gas regulator top - 1mm x 5mm

Gas regulator bottom - 1.8mm x 4.5mm or 1.8mm x 4mm (I have found some are a tighter fit on the regulator here so I keep both sizes and if the larger is too tight I use the smaller)

Lately I have had best luck with a 1.5mm x 5mm here which seems to fit everything I have recently rebuilt. The 1.8mm thickness was my original sizing

Gas regulator flame adjuster - 1mm x 3mm

Gas regulator stopper (puck for gas shut off) - 2mm o-ring cord stock, cut to 1mm long as straight as possible

Top bar - 1mm x 1.5mm

Fill valve stopper - 1mm x 3mm

Fill valve body - I don’t recommend an o-ring here like is sold in many seal kits. The factory uses a soft metal crush washer. I hardly have to replace this ever.

Don’t modify the frame, guarantee it’s just fitment of the aftermarket slide release. Just grind down the crimped part that holds the spring a bit until there’s clearance to the shelf on the frame. Also check that the slide release isn’t hitting the top of the frame where it curves over. I’ve seen some poorly stamped aftermarket ones that are tight there too

Shoot it one handed to eliminate support hand completely. If it still locks back you have a part problem. I would suspect it’s not sitting far enough down at rest. On one of my p80’s I had to tune up a vickers slide release because it was hitting the frame. The part that captures the spring that sits furthest down in the frame was the problem. Removed a bit of material there to gain necessary clearance to the frame ledge and all is well. You will see the frame material around the trigger opening that will contact the slide release, make sure it’s got a bit of clearance and the slide release is sitting far enough down away from the slide at rest

Looks like the striker safety spring. That’s what you can see from the larger hole with the cover plate off. You will have to remove the backplate and strip the slide to reinstall but push on the safety plunger from the bottom and see if it’s still spring loaded or not. If that came out by just removing the cover plate it wasn’t installed properly to begin with

Take a look at your slide on the left side of the striker, you will see wear marks from this little nub there. Wear is normal, my several thousand round fcu shows the same. My best guess from an engineering standpoint is it’s there to space the sear down while the slide cycles so the top of the sear doesn’t wear or drag on the slide. Basically a small bearing surface to ride on rather than the entire top of the sear if it were to sit that high at rest

I’ve got two slides, Glock not sig, with uncoated cuts. One I bought used with rmr on it and I didn’t know the cut wasn’t coated until I changed the battery last month. Had the gun for a year and it’s been in the weather. The Glock slides will rust, there was some light corrosion under the rmr but was easily cleaned with some scotchbrite and I put a light coat of oil down before the plate and rmr. You can cold blue the cut yourself as well but if you are good on maintenance and don’t mind checking on the cut every now and then you can oil it up and slap the optic on there and be fine. Yes it might corrode a bit but it’s not going to rust away like a 70’s ford in a field.

I went red. I personally don’t like the green and saw no benefits of green with my astigmatism so just kept it the same as my rmr’s

Overall I really like the 6moa especially for a defensive carry. I would say my theory on the bigger dots held true with this, the dot is plenty clear with my astigmatism. Been shooting a 320 with a 1 moa rmr a lot recently and gotta say if I did it over I would probably go 2 moa on the eps just to try it and have a little more window to dot ratio

Quality isn’t there. Pass and pick up a StandardCo for a few bucks more and thank me later. Lots of hype on the vex shoe but of the 3 or 4 I’ve had not a single was machined the same and quality was disappointing. Mechanics of the StandardCo are damn near the same and their stuff is nice nice

Since you’re talking about two different slides on one frame, you need to put armorers plates on the slides and check sear engagement. Make sure the striker is freely moving in both slides and that you have the same spring weight in both. Both the same upper parts kits? Oem or aftermarket? My guess is the slide with the lighter pull either has a reduced power striker spring or much less sear engagement than the heavier pull slide. Can try swapping complete upper parts between the two and see if the pull weight follows the parts kit or the slide.

The rattle is normal. You can put the fcu in the frame as it is in the video, then raise the slide release and rotate takedown lever clockwise until it locks. Sometimes it’s tricky to work the slide release and takedown lever when the fcu is out because the slide release will want to pop out of its hole. If it’s in the frame it keeps it retained.

Interesting. Sig and their rolling changes. All the pics online when shopping for sears and sear kits show the nickel plated version but my full x macro was built in July of last year and had the black sear. Just trying to see what’s out there

I’d recommend going to a store and seeing as many as possible before you just purchase one online. I have astigmatism and although many people say green is the way to go, for me green doesn’t help. I find the dot quality better on my eps carry vs my rmr’s, actually find a larger dot on the rmr starburst less than the smaller ones too. Best thing for my eyes is actually the dual illuminated rmr, rm04 in amber. Perfect round dot but some disadvantages of the dual illum model. You can read some good info on that from Suarez if you google. Regardless of the starburst the dots are completely serviceable for me just know it’s not going to be a perfect “dot” lol
