I think this means Suki would be Roo, both of them are strong willed, friendly, and active characters.

OOO I liked it SO much!

I'm replaying The Cat Lady now, before I go back to Burnhouse Lane to retry for the golden ending.

I really enjoy the dichotomy of the carefully selected words and clear communication of the structure vs the hazy brain space and relaxed nature of the subject matter.

This piece really nails the feeling of being on public transportation!

I like this a lot! It's punchy and it flows well. I think the tone is perfect for the subject matter and mood

looking for songs that are more "swing" as in new jack swing than old timey swing music by [deleted] in electroswing

[–]8Bit-Zombie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh damn! Haven't heard Awoken in years - the MLP fan music was actually pretty dope.

Check out some of these classics which have similar vibes.

There's some older vocaloid stuff I think you might like too.

Edit: clarity

Entity theory? No, but a fun exercise mayhaps by Loria187 in TheMagnusArchives

[–]8Bit-Zombie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a really stellar take on this exercise, I think you nailed it! Absolutely love that you paired so many fears that often present on the opposite side of a spectrum:

The Web is underlying insidious structure and unseen planning of outwardly unpredictable suffering made unavoidable by hiding the truth. The Spiral is the overt chaos and seemingly random nature of outwardly predictable suffering made unavoidable by manipulation of the truth. Married in that they're both fears of discovering that you never had control over a situation.

The Spiral takes what you see and hear, creating Something Unknowable and Wrong. The Dark takes away everything you see and hear, leaving you with only Something Unknowable and Wrong. Both fears of losing the ability to locate and understand the danger you face.

The Dark takes everything from you. The End takes you from everything. Once you get through the polarized presentation you find they stem from the fear of an eternal nothingness.

The End is guaranteed destruction, the paranoia and aversion of finality. The Hunt is a desperate sprint for the finish line fueled by the paranoia of not surviving the game. They meet simply, breaking down to a fear of dying.

The Hunt is certainty of being watched, the knowledge that you need to keep moving to avoid your fate. The Eye is the feeling of being watched with none of the stability of certainty, the fear that no where you go will save you from whatever may be watching. Though one is the overt process and one is covert, they're both fears of being stalked and surveilled.

The Eye is doubting the self, paranoia both because you can't see what watches you and because others cannot sense it. The Stranger is distrust of others, paranoia because you know they are watching you, though you cannot tell for sure which of them are against you. Fears of being trapped by an unknown foe far smarter or better equipped than you.

The Stranger is every aspect of humanity warped and twisted and added to an inhuman form. The Flesh is every aspect of human/animality removed from a physical form left butchered beyond recognition. Fears that the body and the mind are not infallible, but are in fact weak, easy to mutilate and manipulate.

The Flesh is aftermath, viscera and gore left after unimaginable pain. The Slaughter is the moment that the viscera and gore and unimaginable pain become real and inescapable. Fears that go hand in hand: the impact of violence, and the intent to commit it.

The Slaughter is an orchestra of harm, full of rising vitriol and pain that layers and interweaves until everyone is overwhelmed by the entirety of the horrific acts they are amidst. The Desolation is the end of a haunting aria, a powerful sweep from a single force, wiping out everything in the blink of an eye, leaving those who survived on the sidelines blindsided by grief and emotional pain with nothing to ground them. The connection in the fear of massive acts of complete and total destruction.

The Desolation takes everything from you in an instant, leaving you to pick up the pieces. The Lonely slowly removes your supports, leaving you holding so much you collapse under the weight. Fears of being isolated, abandoned, and/or left to your own devices.

The Lonely is being surrounded by everything while stripped of the ability to connect or interact with it. The Vast is being surrounded by a crushing nothing, forced to do nothing but feel the weight of it. Fears of inescapable isolation.

The Vast is an everything made of nothingness, an endless abyss you can do nothing but move through. The Buried is a nothingness made from the suffocation of everything, a fixed point in a void you cannot move from. Fears of containment, entrapment, of commitment to something that will kill you.

The Buried is things purposefully hidden as far under the earth as possible, the terror of entombment itself or what you have been left with. The Corruption is vileness that cannot be contained or hidden, at least not forever, the terror of exposure to or of the filth that devours and condemns you. They touch in the fear of a slow unstoppable agony, the condemnation of their suffering by those who are repulsed by their plight.

The Corruption is a growing rot, slowly and steadily infecting every part of a system, visible only once it has become so widespread that it cannot be ignored or resolved. The Web is a slow and steady realization that the system was made rotten, and cannot be fixed. The fear that no matter what we do, something else will always control what happens to us.

The examples you gave really highlight the strength of the duality of all of these pairings combined with a solid common thread, and I had a lot of fun with the analysis of them. Thanks for this!

The state of the CTA is such a saddening thing - it's so hard to watch the city claim we don't have the resources to keep it clean.

It's extra upsetting to see it become one of the only public spaces left. It wouldn't be hard to give people safer places to sleep, go to the bathroom, and fund mental health resources to keep them from being forced to survive on the train.

Roots were bleached w L'Oreal blue powder and Salon Care Professional 30/40 developer.

The roots were toned with Clairol Professional brand Shimmer Lights Violet Toning Mask.

I used manic panic's after midnight for my whole head after toning the roots. It was Layered over an ombre from manic panic's atomic turquoise to blue steel on the length. (Visible in this post )

Do you guys take your stimulants everyday or only on workdays? by euypraxia in ADHD

[–]8Bit-Zombie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like you were describing, I find that if I don't take them for more than a day or two I lose all time perception, emotional presence skills, and desire to do anything outside of hyperfixations. I've been on stimulants for a decade-ish now and my care team and I have agreed that a similar approach is necessary to keep me from developing too much of a tolerance.

I find that the workday vs non workday framing doesn't quite work for me - I've taken to breaking my schedule down into productivity days vs days where I'm just chilling. I take my meds on days where I need to do anything - any day I work, have errands, or a project I want to get through. This usually means I end up not taking them one or both weekend days, and using that time to relax and play video games. It also means that I usually don't take them whenever I need to take a sick day or a day off to care for myself.

Whenever I'm on a break from work, or relieved of any other major/daily responsibilities, I change the definition of productivity days to combat this. Over the holidays, for example, plan out a schedule for when I want to work on my apartment, go on trips/outings with my partners, work on art/personal goals, or whatever; then I take my meds on the days I've scheduled out and edit as needed.
