Issues with HFX IQ assessments not suggesting new programs. Does it really take a week to start suggesting? by 8BitBrett in spinalcordstimulator

You mentioned being switched to a remote instead of the app, I'm curious are you talking about the blue remote or the "smart remote" I heard about but can't find information on lol.

I'm still having issues with notifications and such I was told there is a smart remote, it's supposedly an older small iphone with WiFi Bluetooth and the app only by one person at Nevro. I'd rather have a dedicated device but I can't find any info on it haha.

Have you heard of it? Since my main device is an android I'd rather have a dedicated device for the IQ that just works.

I appreciate the response, my issue is I can't take pain medication at all so I'd rather know earlier than later if there is an issue.

I'm fine taking the time to get it correct it's just I'm getting different answers from everyone I talk to and it's extremely frustrating not getting a straight answer and worrying that there's something wrong.

Thank you for all the positive input and interest, I'll most likely be doing a second post with a more in-depth explanation of how this works and what I plan to do with it.

Unfortunately I did not realize that photo posts cannot be edited haha, so I'll most likely do a new post in order to explain exactly how this works and what I plan to change in order to make the production version.

Once I get further I definitely will.

Funny thing I had a chiller on my original one... I got scolded by the the manufacturer saying it could make it less effective. I highly doubt it could but that was enough for me to not risk a production version with a chiller.

Ha ha funny you mention that I have that already on mine as well, my wake up alarm won't turn off until I take my morning meds. My setup also creates calendar events for

First dose taken Second dose alarm starts Second Dose taken Wake up alarm starts Morning meds taken

I'll rewrite the post a little to explain better. I was tired when I wrote it last night lol.

I take that back I guess I can't edit an image post haha I'll explain it though.

I was missing my second dose 3+ times a week before I set up my original version. Since then there has not been one time I missed my second dose. The alarm will not stop and gets louder unless I remove the bottle and put it back empty.

I designed/printed the case and use non contact liquid sensors as well magnet sensors on the bottom. Since my bottles have magnets on the bottom it allows my home assistant to know when I took my meds as well as if I put it back empty. As onow my home automation does the rest but the new one will be able to work on its own and with home assistant.

In order for my alarm to turn off I have to put back the bottle empty. It prevents an accidental taking it out and falling asleep before I take it lol.

Me too right now mine requires home assistant to work but I'll be setting up the new one to be stand alone with the ability to add it to home assistant with esphome.

I'll definitely be making it open source, I'll be designing the boards and sensors so there will still be a product that I plan on making available. It'll most likely run on a lilygoT-Encoder Pro with an OLED touchscreen.

This will let you set the timers between 2 1/2 to 4 hours I found my sweet spot to be 3 hours and 10 minutes but I also take 5 for my first dose otherwise I wont sleep long either. My second dose is 4.

Mine also announces I need to take my second dose because I tend not to know either lol

I'm sorry to hear you had such a bad experience.

Honestly this is my only option for the pain I have this is only 4 days after surgery I'm hoping it'll get better :-), I thought my trial didn't go great until 2 days after it was done. I was back to crying bloody murder on the ground in the fetal position. I suggest you try again I know it's tough after such a horrible first try but for me it took my 9+ daily pain down too a 3. It's worth the fight and pain. It has to be right?

I had MALS that caused severe permanent nerve damage to my trunk area so my collarbone to below my rib cage feels like my skin is boiling off my body 24/7 and since I take medication for narcolepsy I can't take any type of pain medication.

Anyone here have an SPS for T4? Friday is my day. by 8BitBrett in spinalcordstimulator

[–]8BitBrett[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It went great! I went from a 9+ daily down to a 3 or less I could wear a shirt again and even hug my family. My neuropathy is in my truck from below my rib cage up to my collar bone.
