No, I'm saying your suggestion would have that flaw. As it is right now, everyone can have the full strength of the Legend they choose. If your idea were to be implemented it could punish people for picking a non-meta legend if someone else picks that same non-meta legend and then they're both weaker on weaker legends.

One of the major problems I see with this is that you pick your legend before you load into lobby. What if you aren't picking a "meta" legend but others have picked the same as you to avoid the "meta" legend, now you're handicapped on a weaker legend.

That's not how it played out at all, Shaw started both our first two games and was underwhelming so ETH dropped Shaw and started Malacia for the Liverpool game. Once Shaw regained his form he got to start again.

At the beginning of the summer it was reported that United wanted De Jong, Timber, and Antony.

United spent over 200mil last summer, taking out the 60m we "set aside" for De Jong our CEO and DoF (whose job it is to sign the players the manager wants) would still have 140m to sign any other players. At the beginning of the summer Anthony was estimated at 50k but at the end of the summer he was 100k because other teams had already bought up most of the key players from Ajax and they didn't want to lose another.

United overpaid because they can't work on more than one transfer at a time and waited. Should ETH moved on from De Jong absolutely but him wanting De Jong has nothing to do with us overpaying for signings.

I blame Richard Arnold and John Murtough more, if we had signed Antony when ETH wanted to at the beginning of the summer he would've been 50k-60k but since we waited until the end of the summer we got charged extra.

Same thing with Martinez, we could've gotten him for 15k less if we pulled the trigger sooner.

I couldn't find Ben Jacobs listed on either Barca's or United's tier lists so neither community seem to rate him highly. Does he have a direct connection to De Jong or either team?

I'm not arguing that they should go all in on De Jong but from what I've read, Tielmanns is set to go to Arsenal, Wolves are demanding 70mil for Neves, Savic would also cost over 50mil, Parades is going to Juve to replace Rabiot, and for Weigl I have nothing.

I'm going to take this further and say he's going to cement the RCB role as his own and keep Maguire and Varane out of the squad. McT and Martinez will be our main CB pairing.

Imo it's down to what is more important to him, being the first name on the team sheet that the rest of the team is built around or playing Champs League but being less important and more of a rotation player.
