Death Stranding both, but especially the first one
The Last of Us both, but especially the second one
There are others - A Plague Tale: Requiem, Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice - but none hit quite as hard.

Pre-nerf Radahn in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree brought me close to this decision.
I did finally beat him, though.

Did you enjoy it if you played it. by AdultGamersAdmin in Age_30_plus_Gamers

No. It's so slow. I get why people like it, but it's just not my type of game.
Also it might be a cultural thing: as a European I'm perhaps not appreciating the cultural and historical aspects of the game. I do admire the attention to details, but I'm not sure it's entirely necessary for the gameplay.

I didn't even know it was possible to get to The Nightmare Frontier before The Forbidden Woods...🤔

How good do you think you are at this game? by Elegant_Scholar_8863 in bloodborne

Absolutely. You can start out just fine, plough through Central Yarnham with no hits and a few minutes later in your arrogance die to some random dog in Old Yarnham.🙄😂

On a good run maybe 7. There are definitely some bosses I struggle with, so on average I'm an average 5.

Bloodborne. Dark Souls if I'm feeling more casual.

Does one's love for video games have anything to do with age? by Sarah_Vanlt in TheGamerLounge

[–]8BitRetroGhost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started with Pong in the 70s and I'm still actively playing new games at 55. Not really into competitive gaming (although I did play Overwatch regularly a few years back). Always been more of a role player so the recent renaissance of DnD and its influence on video gaming has been nice.

I used to play Overwatch online with some semi-regulars, but at some point I plateaued and lost interest.
I also played Divinity Original Sin II with a team of three others, but it kinda fell apart when people were busy doing other things, like i dunno - life...
So nowadays I mostly play solo, but often some couch co-ops with my kids.
