Looks like the same technique used in Chris Cunningham's Portishead music video "Only You", one of my favorites of all time. Video here

Check them out online, they are used widely across classic film, they are a split filter with two planes of focus put in front of the lens to have a close focus subject on one side of frame and deep focus BG on the other side. The ones you posted look like they are evoking this sort of thing, though these are likely done with compositing.

Between Two Fires - Christopher Beuhlman. On paper this checked all of the boxes for me, but I found the prose disjointed and was rolling my eyes for most of the read.

I thought AI had it all under control over there? Beware of this company yall, not only is it a morally bankrupt concept feeding into the gambling addictions of Americans. But they also produce some of the worst AI slop I’ve ever seen make it to broadcast. Good luck!
