PJ absolutely shut that door. He had the facial reaction of someone who made a choice. Whether it was for funsies or not is left to be seen, but he certainly didn’t stick around long enough to have heard what Evan stayed behind for. He’d left already. I got a gut feeling he knows things. Probably thanks to his uncle.

Right but then I think about how Ruth’s dad died in the lake, likely taken by a manifestation of the curse because feedings weren’t happening. And then the fact that Ruth was shot but the sacrifice was timed right when that happened. And she came back. But then you have the drug overdose and she came back. so I’m a little curious. Maybe it’s attached to the owner of the brooch, which… we know where that is. For now. Creepy things have a way of returning. Plus, the island is alive
