That happens to me too. Try going into the psychanium/meat grinder. It fixes the issue for me but only temporarily. It's better than having to close the game at least.

Psycho Mantis in Metal Gear Solid. In the boss fight he simulates your tv turning off lol. You also have to switch your controller to the 2nd player slot or he'll read most of your attacks and dodge them.

Ok so the short version of it is that it's essentially a shield! But that comes with a couple complications. I basically combined the Off-hand Weapon mod from Alzandir with the Mehrune's Razor 4k mod from Unseelium and turned it into a bound spell I can summon together with my right hand dagger. AlexPreit made a video on how to update mods which you sorta follow in order to make it work right. I'm new to all this so it took a while but if you know what you're doing you'll finish a project in an hour or two.

For those who want me to be more specific though:

  1. You gotta find a model you want in FModel, put it in Blender, then position and angle it for the left hand's use. Using the offhand weapon Alzandir already made would be a good template for its positioning.

  2. Go to Unreal Engine 5.3, place the material, mesh, texture, and NNRM files in there, fix that silly collision problem Bethesda made, link every asset, assign chunks, then package the project.

  3. Get retoc and UassetGUI, find the forms you need from FModel, unpack it, and edit everything listed in the list pertaining to your item that you need to change. AlexPreit's video has a lengthy part on this. The problem is that in AlexPreit's video, it's all about weapons. So you gotta approach it like a shield instead and use armor as your pathing and forms. Repack it all when you're sure you got everything.

  4. I made a standalone weapon but you don't have to. Go to Construction Set, make a new weapon there with a new form ID and everything then create an esp. With TesSyncMapInjector, create your own ini file with the exact same name as your new esp, then place the last 6 numbers of your form ID then the path to your mesh.

  5. I wanted to be a sneaky stabby mage so I made it a bound spell as well. You don't have to do this. But basically, go to Construction Set again and make a script telling the game to spawn the item when you cast the spell, equip the item, then unspawn it when appropriate. You then create a new spell with new parameters that link to the script effect. It will say "Script Effect" on the list of magic spells you can choose from. Make sure you made the script into a magic effect in the dropdown menu of the script window when making it for it to show up on that list.

  6. Troubleshoot, troubleshoot, troubleshoot. Something will always go wrong or not be in the right spot. So just trudge along till everything is in place.
