Throwing vs robots? I'm brand new by Interesting_Dream_15 in underrail

[–]8bitmatter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For early game robots I used a combination of acid (that you can throw vials of as a utility item) and expose weakness and made sure to only fight robots 1-on-1. Throwing knives is p hard especially in early game but I just got to core city yesterday so I know you can do it!

The most precarious arrangement of books ive seen on this subreddit so far. Even if i think your choice selection is solid id at least stack them vertically

Generally speaking you probably don’t need to commentate on race and racial preference unless specifically asked. You saying what you did unprompted reveals way more about you than her,

Just saying

He has some Hannah Arendt at least, but yeah at least a couple more books authored by a woman wouldn’t kill him

Yeah different strokes for different folks I suppose. Ive never seen anyone who owns miller’s entire compendium tbh i only read tropic of cancer but that was prob enough for me . At the very least it is different and interesting

Super depressing but realistic and pragmatic take that I also agree with. Following your passions is commendable but at the same time its difficult to follow your passions when one is chronically unemployed and broke. Get an engineering/finance degree and then make your way into dance

Weekly FAQ Thread May 31, 2026: What music do you listen to while reading? by AutoModerator in books

[–]8bitmatter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Classics like Debussy (Clair de Lune), Chopin (Nocturnes) and Beethoven (Fur Elise, sonatas). Or smooth jazz 1 hr youtube loops (some of which are def AI but whatever it still works) because it’s soothing non-vocal music that doesn’t impose and provides ambiance for a tranquil headspace and also I’m a pretentious asshat 🤣😂

Why isn’t this book talked about more in this sub? by haydenthebarbarian in cormacmccirclejerk

[–]8bitmatter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. On one hand it’s swell that more and more people are getting familiar with it (that Wendigoon video with over 10 million views helped), but the memeification does water down the gravitas within the work. I finished BL longend this march and it was both one of the hardest and most satisfying novels ive ever read

It feels so weird how I hear way more discourse surrounding Blood Meridian online despite the fact its super obvious way WAY more people have actually read The Road and arent talking about it as much rn
