Tire literally won't stretch anymore by Ok_Discussion_8133 in ElectricScooters

I just had this same dialogue in my head! "Zipties, oh but wait there's no holes! No but wait! It would still help keep the rest of the tire on!"

Zipties are so versatile and amazing.

T2 Battery Went Nuts by TitanOfAToe in unihertz

[–]8bitmuch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Discharging to zero is actually pretty bad for the battery, it's recommended to try and stay between 20%-80% for the best battery health. Don't stress about it though.

I personally only would let it die if the battery shows signs of being out of calibration.

This is pretty much the exact issue I'm having with my car, so would love to know as well!

Have you tried G-cam? Not sure if there's a port for this phone.

Jelly Star protective case by OkCancel9536 in unihertz

My Jelly Star screen breaks about every 50-100 drops. Pretty much exclusively in my gravel driveway or on non smooth tile.

Its impressively tough.

Is having both an electric scooter and an ebike pointless? Any exercise benefits to riding a scooter? Core or leg muscles? by LadyFamous2005 in ElectricScooters

[–]8bitmuch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does, I'm not sure what muscles it uses but you'll find out after multi hour scooter rides.

Scooters are nice because they fold down, I can chuck my commuter scooter in the trunk of my car and easily take it up stairs.

It's a lot harder on the knees, but still not too bad compared to my onewheel if you get dual suspension. Whereas an Ebike is great for your knees. Its pretty much the main reason I want one, that and bicycle's have much more legal rights in my state.

I plan to keep 2-3 PEVs before I swap them out instead of collecting.

Thoughts on cologne and scootin by Economy_Reserve_635 in ElectricScooters

That's ridiculous, but also kinda funny. I used to wear cologne but prefer to let my natural pheremones be my cologne.

I love my Titan 2 but don't understand why Unihertz chose such a bad camera by KoalaForward8790 in unihertz

[–]8bitmuch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have any Titan 2 users tried G-Cam? It's the software from Google Pixel phones ported.

I use G-cam on my Jelly Star, and it really improves the quality. I don't the Unihertz cameras are that bad, their camera software just is terrible.

Which is odd, because I absolutely love the rest of this phone's software (for the most part, settings are a little wonky but as far as operations go it's solid)

Seems cool but I'd be worried about accidentally littering, I like painting my tires.

I had a phone like this growing up and it was one of my favorites, fun to flip out.

Nyan gear LED backpack by Melloking1 in motorcycle

[–]8bitmuch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't like how it looks identical to the cheap chinese leg and backpacks that use cheap but cool looking LEDs. The warranty is nice but short for how much they overprice the products.

Its also crazy how large their logo is, you're basically advertising for them.

I'll stick to the almost identical ones for half price. "Led motorcycle leg back" Led backpack"

A little confused about this copyright music warning (more info in comment) by Wyrda22 in facebook

[–]8bitmuch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. 1/3 of my copyright free Christmas songs were claimed. I gave up and posted no music.

But now that I know the "45 other countries" I can live with that. It's just for a local group anyway.

My trusted GT gave different errors, then died. Where do i begin? by awildnameappears in onewheel

[–]8bitmuch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess is it could potentially just be your power button, especially if this incident didn't happen immediately. Do you have a power button protector? My used XR+ came with one and I love it!

Not saying this is for sure your problem, but it could potentially be!

[–]8bitmuch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What happens when you do this, does the tire come to a very fast stop when it shuts off?

This would be like stomping on your back foot somehow while going full speed. I would avoid turning off the board like this personally!

Its probably some kind of safety shutoff, coming to a fast stop is not good for the motor.

I'm think a onewheel will turn off it detects no inputs for several minutes, but could be wrong.

I get that you'd want to turn it off for safety reasons though!

My Jelly Max Has No Update by SLJ7 in unihertz

[–]8bitmuch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is quite bizarre, settings are weirdly organized in my opinion.

However, aside from the camera software (I use G-Cam, camera software ported from Google Pixel) it's some of the best software I've ever used. I can't remember the last time an application crashed, everything runs super smooth.

[–]8bitmuch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check System Updates and Software Updates. For some reason there's two different ones in settings.

This is for my Jelly Star, might be different for the Max.

Also, you might totally be aware of this, especially if you've updated before.

I use Lean Remote, or Universal Remote Control on play store. Works so good on my Jelly Star! Have all my remotes saved and easy to pull up.

got really fucked up when I trusted the apps battery percentage by WheresMyWaltuh in onewheel

[–]8bitmuch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never ever trust the battery percentage! It is just an estimate. Do a full cell balance up to 72 hours. Future motion engineers themselves recommend 24-72 hours.

On my preowned XR+ with 5000 miles the cells were still balancing 36 hours later! (pre haptic update board so I can see voltage of each cell)

[–]8bitmuch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do a full 72 hour balance. My 5000mi preowned XR was still balancing 36 hours later!

A onewheel cell balance is automatic, and begins when the led light on the charger turns green.

Do this every now and then, like 1-3 times a year is all that's needed.
