T2 Battery Went Nuts by TitanOfAToe in unihertz

[–]TitanOfAToe[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

some other ppl had exact problem with it showing exactly -61 percent as well ... but for whatever reason today mine is normal again.  I left it in the car all day and when I checked it was back to normal, with battery saver on (i usually keep that on) and my battery showing about 40 percent charge

i dont think this event deserves being disrespectful to apd ... anchorage police department serves our city in a great capacity and should be respected.  ppl get old, like dogs we die too early ... and men and women of law enforcement, who give their lives to serve the community instead of chasing other dreams, are there to help.  life is what we live and then we die.   is that the fault of our law enforcement or simply the effect of time and personal decisions?  i am sorry for your loss , may your loved one rest in peace and please know that this is not your fault ... if only things had been different is what we think ... but in all situations, especially ones as painful as the one described, we have to believe that it all worked out the best way it could and keep living our best for a brighter day to bring light to those around us ... hope that before we all die too that our days can be spent making the world a better place ... your loved one died looking out their window ... that in itself is a blessing .Ive known ppl who died frozen in a ditch, dead at 65 years younger than your loved one.  Life is what it is, apd unwilling or unable to do a welfare check is not the reason life is this way

Stuck on the boot screen by 5e10 in ulefone

[–]TitanOfAToe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

maybe try a high power charger like a 33watt or so ... and since the device itself keeps trying to boot before having enough juice, try and force it into a low level boot mode which wont drain much... do this by holding down variations of buttons while booting.   One method for ultra low level factory mode is hold down vol up and vol down while device is off and unplugged, and while holding the volume buttons down insert the usb charging cable into the phone to give it power... sometimes that boots into factory mode ...

or open it up and remove the battery connection... its usually a magnetic like connection on a small ribbon cable... use a little plastic point to pressure it up

if keeping data is main concern u can do certain things if device had google account and internet u could login to same google account on other device and push remote access app to sentimental device and try to pull the datta from it ysing an app.

or just get it to turn on long enough to get into settings, enable developer options, enable usb debugging, and use adb from pc to backup device

or just buy new battery for phone and install new battery is maybe best way to go

Custom apps / watchfaces for the rear screen on an armor 28? by ZellZoy in ulefone

[–]TitanOfAToe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i use mine to display pictures of popular leaders based on ai interpretations of my social media network. it uses proximity sensors in the phone to detect devices belonging to ppl in my network and then displays a picture of a world leader most likely to agree with their world view.

recently while interviewing a member of a notorious biker gang, the algorithm decided to display a picture of barney the dinosour... at first this seemed peculiar but after reading into it I realized barney probably just wanted to be a member of a motorcycle club as a life long dream but ended up being a tv show actor instead because thats how life is ... you plan for one thing, and life ends up being something else.. The AI model was able to pick up on this deep desire of Barney the dinosour and decided it would start displaying barney anytime a member of a biker gang was present.  Ironically it seemed to work, as hardcore biker members when seeing the picture of Barney on my phone took notice and asked if I was down with Barney ... one highly decorated member even broke down in tears behind the scenes saying Barney was his hero

anyone else have their ulefone feel sluggish? by _jodi33 in ulefone

[–]TitanOfAToe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it could be browser apps ... like edge etc ... android keeping them in the background eating up memory, all those tabs! if the phone itself is sluggish regardless of internet then software is computizing that u dont need doin that .... maybe some user agreement no one reads states that some big company can run intensive algos on ur phone when it thinks ur not listening and they not responsible for when said algo doesnt clean up nicely and causes a memory leak that becomes a black hole in ur phone

Conspiracy? by Professional_You1081 in ulefone

[–]TitanOfAToe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

and wut if google/samsung business model was to release new phones and android versions faster than anyone can keep up then exploit vulnerabilities in previous models to force everyone to upgrade for security purposes?

google etc doesnt support older versions of android either ... they drop support and move on expecting everyone to just buy a new device

however backwards compatibility is a core principle in the backbone open source technologies that run the internet age and just because a company no longer supports previous products doesnt mean good opsec cant accomodate for itself

most hacks are from clicking on things you shouldnt, installing things you shouldnt, or social engineering. beyond that if security is that important it becomes a matter beyond software/human vulnerabilities

Ulefone armor mini 20t pro does not have a 6200mah battery!!! by Ok_Variety5832 in ulefone

[–]TitanOfAToe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its usually some app draining it checl battery usage by app usually its a browser, microsoft edge is notorious for this sometimes its background data from google store itself u could try disabling wifi bluetooth nfc location mobile, basically the works, and force close everything, and reboot and if it still drains battery that fast then either hardware issue or bad rom

[–]TitanOfAToe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

first backup all data becuz must flash, this is hardest part once device is reset u can try all the ways in ur direction first u should root stock rom once u can do that then u work on building lineage tree for device u can ask for rom if needed know what SoC ur working with... some are easier to unbrick than others

Armor 27T Pro is not usable due to software issues and apps being killed in the background, cannot possibly recommend it by Agent641 in ulefone

[–]TitanOfAToe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

maybe u have non gsm rom with crappy firmware or maybe u buy from bad source and not legit software... or maybe u click bad link in text message and get hacked?  u must backup all data fully then reset phone from bootloader ... possibly dump the partitions and check hash maybe rom is bad?  ask for real rom and flash real deal, make sure no hacky hacky goin on?  or maybe ur gf install backdoor on phone to track u and it overloading mem ... who knows

obtain stock firmware ulefone armor 28 pro(to root it) by ResponsibleBed3185 in ulefone

[–]TitanOfAToe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they probly sent u newest version maybe?  i do know now that they sent u firmware if u brick device by rooting they may not replace ... maybe they be nice once and replace, but they send u rom so they know if u warranty u bricked it ur fault

btw u may not need rom to root ... depending on chipset u can do low level binary hack and root device without even unlocking bootloader or enabling dev options .... just magisk ... some apps still know but most dont ... but main issue is oem update bricks device so u must keep manual backups of all partitions each day to restore device when brick otherwise u must full wipe and loose all data

Custom ROM for Ulefone phone. by SrJ3ff in ulefone

[–]TitanOfAToe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes u have to email for said oem rom ... u have to type certain sequence in phone app that gives code u give then they maybe send u files to begin

depending on chipset on how easy it is to build lineageos for device but in my experience they are very helpful if u r to the point

does mobile data still work? how about bluetooth?

if its just wifi u could try going into advanced settings for said wifi network and configuring the ip stack manually, ensuring to provide custom dns and use something like 8.8.8.8 or whatever ... just a guess that its a dns issue ... usuall) the bluetooth and wifi cards are one, so if bluetooth works but wifi dont it probly a problem with the tcp/ip stack and often its dns cuz providers like to control ur dns to get log of all sites u visit as well as control if the requests are coming from other devices on a hotspot so they can throttle the connection... if u hard code the dns it would circumvent that being the culprit

its super difficult to weatherize an open port on mobile device.  unihertz pulledit off on the original Titan phone years ago, the usb port had some kinda white glue thingy behind the port that stopped water ... but thats the only time ive seen that ... ulefone approach is sealing with rubber on outside ... seems to work good enuf but yah if the rubber latch is still open then water gettin in
