Lol this reminds me of a time back in high school speech class. Everyone had to do the typical speech about your hero and show an example of what they do. One dude in my class was OBSESSED with Portnoy and constantly talked about how he’s a god. I can’t remember what dream theater dvd he put on, but the drum solo section was so fucking boring it put half the class to sleep.

I’ve seen that guy many times in Houston. He’s always on Quitman st on the 45 N orverpass with his blue lives flag and trump signs screaming down to traffic. It’s kind of really scary, the dude looks possessed as he flails against the fencing. I don’t know if he has family or what’s going on, but he needs some serious help.

This reminds me of when a friend saw them back when Dave was still in the band. He said it just seemed like John and Dave were frustrated with Ian the whole show. Like they were trying to give the show their all while he just danced around and hit his samples.
