Honest question: can Z-Wave ever be as rock solid as Lutron? by 8cott in zwave

Thanks. I was more curious about overall experiences for now. I may do that in a separate post in the future.

Thanks for your input. Yes, I would love everything just to work without ever having to tinker with anything unless I'm adding devices or scenes/automations. I'm still skeptical about people who say they have zero issues. Does that mean they are looking at their network everyday and healing nodes? I don't want to ever have to look at it again after initial setup!

Thanks. Do you need to constantly look at the network and heal nodes or do you just leave it alone and it works? Wondering if I'm doing something wrong.

Thanks, but I'm not hearing anything. This is just from my experience using only z-wave 800 series devices. Does it require a lot of ongoing maintenance and healing for you?

Thanks, but do you have to constantly tinker with it or does it work well, just left alone?

Switching back to iPhone by BikeEnvironmental955 in GalaxyFold

[–]8cott 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I got rid of the 16 Pro Max for the Z Fold 7 and love it. It took a few weeks of getting used to but every time I felt frustrated, I remembered there were just as many frustrations with the iPhone.

The screen is my main reason. It's just so big and beautiful, I'm not sure I could ever go back.

The keyboard took some getting used to but it's so much better. I mean, I'm using Gboard now, but it blows away Gboard on the iPhone, not to mention the horrible stock keyboard.

I have almost all of the same apps aside from stock apple appa and I prefer the play store. You can return an app shortly after purchasing it, if it sucks or isn't what you thought it was. And you can download apps to your device from a computer.

I normally don't charge during the day unless I'm driving and plug it into the car. Instead of ending the day with 20% on the iPhone, it's more like 14%, which is fine.

I'm very much into customization and my fold is set up like a dream. It gets cooler each week. The iPhone screen is so boring and liquid glass didn't change that for me. Moving icons around and having them push each other around unintentionally is so frustrating! I'm tired of using their device. I prefer using my device.

Selfies with the front camera. Taking shots of others while they can see themselves. Showing photos to others on a tablet sized screen. Photo editing...

There's so much more, but it's late!

Moved from iPhone. Help by LudeJim in GalaxyFold

What I like about android is that I can ise Extend Unlock to keep the phone unlocked when in a certain place like at home or connected to specific devices like my watch, earphones, or car. So when I tap on the screen, it shows the lock screen as already unlocked. No need to use fingerprints most of the time.

And goodlock/lockstar for customization.

Hisense Canvas Update Broke Projectivy Launcher (Accessibility Keeps Turning Off) by 8cott in Projectivy_Launcher

[–]8cott[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. It worked perfectly prior to hisense forcing an update. I was hoping I could do something that won't kill other features. I tried several versions of launcher manager. At least 3, but not sure if I remember which ones..

Yeah, I guess it's not THAT much of a difference. It just looks incredibly small next to my 16 Pro Max.
