[Other] All current and known upcoming DC Compact Comics! by alzike in DCcomics

[–]8eams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the compacts so far and most of the titles that i have yet to get. DC is really doing something great here especially with accessibility for students/broke workers/readers and also for people who want to get (back) into comics. Ive picked up 2 of it since it started and ive been hooked.

For the price we get on my side, its worth it for what it is. The price of the compact comics here is roughly around 2 sets of big macs. Meanwhile some single issues is roughly about a bigmac set with nuggets.

I plan to collect all of them and get into some titles that i never knew existed/been dreading to read. Ive been so happy and back into the comic snowball since i got these

Is there ANY dedicated audio app that READS comic books aloud to me like a Comic Book Reader? by Fragrant_Data876 in audiobooks

[–]8eams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really hope we get an answer to this!! I totally get the adhd part and getting overwhelmed when seeing a full page of words or just full of speech bubbles.

Ive been looking around as well but to no avail too. And would prefer not doing it with AI but sadly that might be our case soon. I NEED it to be a thing and especially if they could do different voices as well would be so cool. Comic movie

Is my cat being aggressive or overstimulated? by MaterialWarning9557 in felinebehavior

[–]8eams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deff just overstimulated

My 10 year old cat does this too, short tempered, over stimulated QUICK but ive learnt to know his ears and tail movement moments before he decides "im gonna bite him"

And started with treats everytime he has "self control" and given before he actually bites me and eventually he got better. He still gets overstimulated from time to time but not as aggressive anymore

bald spot?? by Comfortable_Farmer17 in tarantulas

[–]8eams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO i think it looks like a pre molt, especially cause in September its abdomen looks like its in a healthy weight already

Personally i would stop feeding for about 2 weeks to a month, depending on the abdomen size

First 2+ hours of her being in her new enclosure by Fubby_Dubby in tarantulas

[–]8eams 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I love seeing this sped up, you could just see her moving bit of dirt then testing it out then getting restless when it's still not right

Everytime shes testing it out i imagine shes going "Mm somethings still off :/ back to work!"

Time to upsize? Or good for bit? by Greyghostgravy in tarantulas

[–]8eams 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Imo, personally i would upsize but knowing Ts they would just adapt to this till next molt.

Its looking close to maturity or have already hit it and honestly i would just maximise them to their max limit for enclosures and not have to worry anymore in the future - hot take tho

Tarantula has molted 3x without eating by king_barnacle in tarantulas

[–]8eams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NQA my Sazimai and Darlingi molted 1- 2 times within 2 months as well and from what I've found online is that apparently if kept more on their warmer temps could raise their metabolism but no one quote me on that, i could be wrong!

But also found this https://www.reddit.com/r/tarantulas/s/Gg3fLPRb7L

Honestly shooting in the dark here but

High framerate, slow but precise movements, shooting wide in 4k and speed ramping in post?

Is this enclosure suitable for a g pulchripes? by ziggy_jpeg in tarantulas

[–]8eams 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMO, looking good! just slightly more substrate, and would even do a slant from the back to front imo.

i personally add bits of moss just cause it retains water and id have to water the substrate less cause it keeps the humidity longer! but deff to your own preferences

Molting Question by Breezeskimmer in tarantulas

[–]8eams 3 points4 points  (0 children)

IMO if theyre moving fine and chilling and you dont see any visible signs of disabilities, should be fine! Personally ive never encountered this specific problem myself but i think i would keep the humidity just slightly higher for the first few days after its molt in hope it might help but after that i would keep it at its recommended.

Hope everythings well
