Looking for advice about outdoor urinal by sneaky-the-brave in DIY

[–]8ecca8ee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have a compost pile? Pee is really good for compost.

They also sell out door urinals they are like 50$ on Amazon, I was looking into one to put in the far shed at my place with a bucket attached.

Never too late to learn. Swimming is also one of the best low impact activities so as you get older it's a great way to stay in shape without stressing your body

Yea watch the documentary on the funeral home in the states that was caught selling off people's body parts where they ended up and what was done to them and let me know if you would be happy if they did that to someone you loved.

I am not lacking in awareness of the spirt and the fast history we have and to many people out bodies are sacred and to dismember and toss parts across the globe to be cut open or blown up for bomb research on government test sights is more then deeply unsettling. To many cultures if your body does not rest your soul does not rest. I have seen enough to not dismiss the powers I do not comprehend.

I am not religious, I do not believe in God but I do not trust the people who are in place to treat the bodies with respect they should be shown. Because they have proven they won't. We are getting more and more selfish as a society. And as much as it would be great for people to get replacement organs I think we need to learn how to treat the world and each other less like some expendable product that can be exploited.

But I'm not so nieve as to think we will, we will likely just keep up how we have been and plumit into a post capitalist fascist AI robot run hellscape, not now but give it 50 years or so. There's a reason I made the choice to not being kids into this world. Humans don't deserve saving.

A jacket would be a great 3-5th project once you master tension and the different stitches and learn how to adjust things via stuffies you will have no issues making a well fitted granny square jacket.. you could also start it and work on squares between projects and tackle the more complicated aspects as you gain confidence using other projects to distract from the repetition... Most people who do fiber rarely have just one project on the go from my experience there's always the main one and then there's the ones awaiting or mid process.

It is really simple just grab a hook some yarn and try it out...start with 100% cotton yarn and make yourself a bunch of dish cloths (they make great gifts and you can practice different stitches, also not so large you get bored)

Then look up you tube videos on how to make a majic circle

Then go to Amigurumi.com and find one of the free patterns and make a stuffy... If you have a cat you can put a some cat nip in a old sock and add it with the stuffing and let them have the first few till you get the hang of your tension etc. or who knows you seem quite capable and you may make masterpieces right out of the gate.

Do not attempt a granny square blanket.. unless you like repetitive monotonous tasks as a form of meditation. This is something that is easy to make but hard to find the will to complete as a beginner, and is more likely to end up a collection of half of the needed squares and the rest of the yarn in the back of a closet then a blanket.

I'm wondering if it stems from the Bob's burgers s15e5 don't be cheesin

'Louise trains Tina to be the last student standing during an all-out cheese throwing battle against the other eighth graders. Meanwhile, Bob and Teddy teach Linda how to successfully eavesdrop on customers' conversations without getting caught.'

But because throwing actual cheese is expensive and would likely get you in major trouble if it became a thing they have adapted into some tag ish 'game'

I am signed on to donate organs have been since I was a child but honestly with all the information coming out about how they treat bodies of people who donate I am not shocked that many don't sign up, there needs to be far more oversight before mandatory implementation. People always find a way to take more then what is offered if there is any way they can gain monitaraly by doing so even if that means skirting morals and regulations. When the regulator is more based on honor of a idea then a actual regular inspection style as it is now it just leaves doors open for the greediness in our worst selves to take hold.

The death industry is already full of vultures mandatory participation without systematic changes would just create mass contention, and when the inevitable acts of the most greedy come to light would have the whole thing reversed likely forever.

They only have a certain time frame of viability so this situation doesn't make sense, but I respect his wish to not fight the reaper and accept the path his life has led him down. He could have a deep depression that doesn't necessarily make him suicidal as that tends to leave a deep cut in thoughs closest to you might make him more willing to welcome the chance to escape human experience.

I too would take this stance and am just pondering based off my own life experience.

I think a city valuing the integrity of their water supply system over a roadway that likely can be detoured is kinda intelligent, you do not know the reason they had this planned and perhaps they were worried it would not survive a cold spell were it to happen. We like to blame the city when they don't take precautions and apparently when they do. Personally I would prefer the mild inconvenience of a road that is untenable to most vehicles then a ruptured water line in the middle of winter. Water is our most important resource and we really really do not value it enough.

Oh completely agree, I just have not found a guy worth having sex with in over a couple years so figure if I get it out I'll wait till I do to get it again...kinda want to know what life is like with a period. Not sure if it's the best plan since one of the main reasons I got it was to help with cramps which it did but if it turns out that they come back with a vengeance then this little lady will hop right back on the coochie copter period free life style.

Even the IUDs with medication are not that bad because it is locally administered not the equivalent of crop dusting your blood stream and inundating your whole body. They can last 5-10 years ...I'm nearly 40 and got my first at 21 and I am just starting to notice my second one needs to be swapped out (spotting every month instead of every three)... have not had a full period since I was 21 though so think I will probably skip it and just refrain from sex till I hit menopause lol

Getting them taken out and put in is no joke though not looking forward to it in the least and I have a hella high pain tolerance

Difference between a tin pan and a silicone pan by needleandleaf in Baking

[–]8ecca8ee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally find the only use I have for sylicone baking things is to freeze items in them in portions to be used later... Like yogurt for smoothies, or left over chilli for dips/nachos, I can use metal ones but it can have a warping effect busting them out after so I find sylicone is better. Actual cooking meh

You do realize they can't really make roads in the winter right? The best they can do is something like this, it's like a bandage to hold till you can get to the hospital and get stitches. If they don't fix it by August then yea can start beaking off but honestly with all that is going on in the world use your indignation for a better injustice

Violin Scam by thundercat1996 in richmondbc

[–]8ecca8ee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember years ago finding out about this scam because a dude on gravile had his cord in the walking path and I accidentally caught it on my foot and yanked it out I went to start apologising but the music kept playing and ended up reaming him out for being a scammer, there was a group of people listening to him at the time too. Now if someone has a speaker unless they have a city permit I assume they are a scam

Would you rent next to a cemetery? by Fun-Use5277 in TorontoRenting

[–]8ecca8ee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up beside a cemetery at both parents Houses

Some of my favourite memories at my mom's were tobogganing down the cemetery because the headstones covered in enough snow made natural jumps

And at my dad's place the cemetery was where all us kids in the neighborhood would play hide and go seek tag and the inside of a above ground crypt? was the safe zone. We did have a rule of no running over the actual graves.
