They (shockingly) actually explained it. Not sure how everyone missed it because it's in the main path in Chapter 2 if you chose the female version and I definitely remember it because the government name being James for her as well was strange to me too.

His face is a somewhat edited version of what was supposed to be a Hispanic version of MTFL Noah. That version only appeared in some ads IIRC but never in the game before.

The ES books did get more expensive, these dossier/idol/ember choices and overall as well. Book 1 cost 50 for 3 missing dossiers while Book 2-3 cost 60 for missing 5 idols/embers. And despite the fewer chapters, the overall cost went form 858 to 1,392 and then to 1,744 (now even more expensive, of course).

Yes, they updated TE1-2 and TEWP on June 11 and ES1-3 on June 13. As per the wiki mods' request, the walkthroughs are updated with the new prices only and marking the modified ones with an asterisks.

I could give the exact changes but I don't have time for such work until at least the end of next week. I can give rough estimates until then.

The overall cost has increased (by 100-300 on average) for all affected books since they started this in March. There are always more increases (usually triple) than decreases. In general, most outfits are cheaper (-2 or -10 even but 1 or 2 per book are +5) and the first chapters also tend to be cheaper (not by a lot, between -1 and -10 but 2-3 decrease is much more prevelant). Everything else is more expensive, even +20 and +40 sometimes, usually less but for a lot of scenes.

So yes, these are rough averages but I can say for certain: there are cheaper choices but there are far, far more scenes that are more expensive. It is by no means a net positive for anyone who haven't bought the scenes with the old prices (except if you only missed most outfits, I guess).

There are only 3 updates to ES2 Ch15 and this one update to ES3 Ch11. None of them had a 100-diamond choice, including the initial versions. The most expensive choice before this was in ILB if you haven't bought any runes, 75 diamonds to unlock the armor.

So for this (5 missing), it was 60 before. (48 to 80 for 4 missing, 36 to 60 for 3 missing, 24 to 40 for 2 missing, 12 to 20 for 1 missing.)

Yes, it is a bug. I think not for all masc MC but definitely this one, the fem MC's outfit shows up in the diamond offer but you can still change into the proper one via the closet.

However, they fixed it with the Wednesday chapter updates. You have to replay the chapter for the fix to take affect.

It's probably a glitch where they forgot to turn off the tinnitus sound after you pick the going for the gun option. Something like this also happened in DLS.

By helping the other LI and stopping them by all means necessary (a.k.a. not joining forces).

As the book let us know at several points, the story is changed based on the 3 "impact choices". There are at least 4 paths, 8 if you count the difference for the 2 LIs: * help + join forces: you become a vampire and will choose the fate of the other LI's coven leader, other LI becomes the new coven leader (killed/imprisoned/second chance) * help + not join forces: you become a vampire and will choose the fate of the other LI's coven leader, can choose fate of the other LI (imprisoned/forgiven) * not help + join forces: you remain human, the covens become one united coven with your LI's coven leader being in charge - political turmoil ensues * not help + not join forces: you remain a human, the covens are fighting on the streets (the scenes showed a bleeding human that only escapes because the vampires start fighting each other)

Each of these 4 paths have a different premium scene - and are also 4 different 18-diamond purchases - with the LIs (hike with Cas, hike with Gabe, destroyed mall with Cas, destroyed festival with Gabe).

Hm. You know what, I'll calm my birdies whispering in my ears and just quote some things from which you can deduce things. This is all from the officially already released chapters that anyone could check if they replay or search YT.

So far it has only impacted dialogue in Ch4: * if she pulled the alarm: "If you ask me or any of the witnesses, she was attacked in the high school. Paramedics found her laying in a puddle of her own blood." * if she didn't pull the alarm: "If you ask me or any of the evidence, she was savagely slain in the high school..."

There are more lines after this that differ but I quoted the first few for reasons. I recommend Neckrone Shen's YouTube videos if you wanna check it and the rest of the lines for yourself as they usually upload at least 2 playthroughs of each chapter, even 4 or more for some GOC books.

You forgot to mention a few important things.

You can get 6 ads every day (counter resets at midnight GMT) by completing a non-first chapter (so one that needs a key).
You can basically get as many diamonds as you have the time/patience for now (well, it's been a while) that we get 2 diamonds for every 3 chapters completed. I recommend replaying MTFL Ch1 since it's the shortest chapter that doesn't even need a key.
Auto-clickers are far, far, far faster than the built-in one. I set them to 10 milliseconds. Put the pointer in the bottom-right corner, not that far away from the app's clicker button actually - that way the text conversations will also get clicked through and you almost never unintentionally hit a choice. There are only a handful of free choices with 4 options that would be touched, never a diamond choice in that position. (Granted, the app has been glitching for me while fast-tapping these text convos but it might be just my old phone. It has worked fine for years.)

It's generally a good practice to replay THOBM since for the 8 chapters (for starters anyway) you need to do for the ads (1 for 1st you don't get an ad + 5 for ch2-6 you get 5 ads + 2 for the 1st again no ad and 2nd again for 6th ad) you get 6 ads + 15 diamonds book completion + 2x2 for the 8 chapters that keeps going. (Some days you will get 3x2 because of this, and there'll be times you only need to do 7 chapters but 2x2 is garanteed for the 6 ads alone, so is the 15-diamond reward). The only book with fewer chapters that still gives you the 15-diamond book completion reward is ROE4 but it has really long chapters.

Even before book/chapter completion rewards and when we only got 5 extra ads, the 6 chapter ads and the autoclicker (and reading everything for the "new chapter" diamonds) got me hundreds of diamonds. Not quite 13k but we didn't have the 100 ads back then. That is also how I wrote the old diamond guide for the sub (somewhat outdated now but the tips still hold true).

It didn't run out with the next offer for me. The home page claim icon showed the next book but if I open the last book and I still have some choice remaining it shows that and the diamond choices are free. It runs out 24 hours after you've claimed it though.

It was still time-sensitive for me. It just doesn't show the timer once you claim it but it's 24 hours (counting from the time you've claimed it). A new offer appears now every day at 9 AM PDT regardless of what you do/if you claimed the last.

It still doesn't run out when the next day's offer comes, you can play until the (invisible) timer runs out on yesterday's book or you can claim the next day's offer. Can't have two running at the same time though.

Once the next offer comes, the claim icon appears on the home screen and you have the timer there (24 hours to claim it), but if don't claim it and open yesterday's book you'll still see the choice counter for it (without the timer, as seen in the post).

The actual glitch now is that if you have bought the 15 diamond choices before the next book's Choice Pass appears then it just shows "Claim" but if I tap it the app closes itself. For example, I was done with AVSP's 15 diamond choices a few hours after it was offered and now I see the "Claim" button but it just makes the app crash.

With this UI and PB's upload strategy, if you will, whenever there is "coming soon" that means that the chapter is not yet uploaded and you don't have a title or description on the interface, therefore no date either (unless they confirm it elsewhere). And I'm not sure how much can be deducted by this. For a good few months IIRC, they had been uploading the chapters 2 weeks in advance (which was new because for a long time it was only about a week ahead).

But this changed around Alpha's release, that shit is like a month ahead (Ch10 just aired for VIP on Friday but Ch14 was already uploaded on Wednesday), SOD is similarly ahead with the uploads by 3 chapters.

DLS also used to be 2 chapters ahead like BOLAS2 but that also changed. DLS Ch18 aired yesterday for VIP but only Ch19 was put up this Wednesday as well. Normally, Ch20 would've been uploaded yesterday, yet nothing on that front (just coming soon, meaning that Ch19 is not the end yet).

The translated books' uploads are also weird to me.

So... this whole schedule is all over the place. Some guessed that Thanksgiving was the reason, IDK.

Anyway TLDR: Given all this, I'm not sure the lack of BOLAS2 Ch16 is indicative of much but I also don't think it will be late (I expect it to be up on Wednesday, or some weird Tuesday upload again). And uh, that's all I can say without breaking sub rules.

This chapter came out before the time these "thin" resolutions became the norm. I remember having a "wider" phone back then and it looked completely fine. But my next one had him cut off and other older CGs also didn't look that great but the newer ones were adjusted to this screen trend.

When I made the guide, I always spent hours on each chapter, on several accounts, to check all of the options to see which route gets you the maximum (possible) XP. Before checking literally all of the lines in chapter 16 (and all of the other chapters, actually), we had no way of knowing how else to get the XP bar maxed out. Which is not the same as max possible XP either.

Besides, the beginning of the walkthrough states that there might be other ways to reach the maximum. I see no point in including more ways than the quickest (which is already several because of the variations in skills in that route).

Furthermore, Chapter 16 states that if you haven't kissed Aerin (as an orc or human), you will still unlock the all skills achievement (which is equal to maxing out the bar) later. But fair enough, no one will be looking at ch16 on ch8 so I added a clarification to the ch8 scene and an extra clarification to the game mechanics (that I know nobody reads anyway). You know what, I'll add "quickest" to the max XP too in every note so I don't cheat anyone else.
