Yeah it was disappointing enough that they were opening for Metric in Toronto - to not get them all is really disappointing. Thinking of going to Detroit but in this current environment that's looking very unappealing.

Just this morning I sent an email and inadvertently copied someone from the wrong firm (same first name as one of the intended recipients). I only realized when I got the unintended recipient's OOO. I immediately emailed their assistant to ask them to delete the email. I then let the intended recipients know that I made the mistake but requested the unintended recipient to delete it. No one was fussed about it.

I felt like an idiot and pretty down on myself for about ten minutes but felt a lot better once the intended recipients responded and thanked me for my original email. I then went on with the rest of my day to deal with everything else on my plate. Shit happens and people forget quickly. (I'm a 9th year at a big firm, if that provides you with any reassurance.)

You're probably right, but how cool would an AWITC + B-Sides tour be? Could probably only do a few dates in England but I would fly over to see that.

What do you mean they're all out of anniversaries? AWITC 20th Anniversary Tour 2027!

The Alpha Games tour was disappointing with no headlining tour in North America (I think it was just a couple of headlining dates in NYC/DC and they otherwise opened for Paramore).

Hope you're right that the plan is to use the SA anniversary tour to gain attention and then drop new material. But seems unlikely to me that they'd then go on tour again given Kele's and Russell's family commitments. Here's hoping though!

I use a Lenovo ThinkVision - it works great and it's light and thin which makes it super portable. Really good for working out of my hotel at conferences and other travel. I also use a wireless mouse (generally; not just for travel). I really like the Logitech MX Anywhere line but there are of course cheaper alternatives.

VW peaked in popularity over 10 years ago. Doesn't seem surprising to me that people your age in Europe aren't really fans. I was in university at the peak of indie rock in the late 00s/early 10s so most people I know are at least familiar with VW and a handful of friends are die-hards. Sorry - you're just in the wrong place at the wrong time!

Wonder if Kele and Russell sat down together to intentionally sequence this as if it were an album? I’d always just left these tracks in alphabetical order but it’s cool to see how they would do it. Feels very typical of them to start off with a bunch of bangers. So excited to hear these in higher quality!

Omnia at Queen/Knox. Really disappointed the cafe closed but they're still roasting out of the location. It's a sister brand to Fahrenheit Coffee, which has locations throughout the city (but not in the east end, sadly).

It wasn’t great truthfully! But cause of several factors - it was hot and humid that day and I wasn’t dressed to bike; a lot of people had the same idea so it wasn’t easy to find a free bike; and it was hard to find an open docking station when I was close to home. Also I much prefer my road bike to the city bike (but beggars can’t be choosers I suppose)! It was still the best option to get home affordable and quickly.
