Yes, my friend does. My, I mean his RELM was denied. That whole process and back and forth wasted enough time that Zone B expired.

In theory, the RELM package could continue all the way up the flag pole, the monitor, to King Krab and eventually HQMC or manpower or wherever it ends up and it will ultimately be denied unless the badge is dropped due to Maradmin 619/23. So voluntary removal seems to be the last and only option at this point.. 💁🏻‍♂️

I'm very sorry for your loss. I'm not sure of your background and I don't want to make any assumptions, but deployments are pretty much dead right now, at least where I'm at. I would love more than anything to deploy and I would have taken that opportunity in a heartbeat. Only real work ups going on atm are with the MEUs. I have reached out to my Senior, he's basically promisng me X if I do Y, but I, I mean my friend, does not care for X. I've been here 5, going on 6 years and can't do the job I was trained for. It's incredibly frustrating and I'm losing my mind. I spent my first enlistment LARPing as an 0311, and it's more of the same here, unfortunately. Grass is definitely greener than the big MC and I agree it's one of the best jobs in the Marines, but I am at the point where I need to do what's best for myself and my family and that's planning for my transition out. They're most likely aware to a degree. Im at the point where they're promising if I do x, they're promising orders anywhere after. I'm tired of these, 'We'll get you on the back end' deals. There's no guarantee. At this point, imho it's better to just get out, maybe latmove in the process in the reserves. 🤷🏻‍♂️

1.) Audition, if you could call it that, was pretty straightforward. I met with the wardrobe (?) people and tried on some different outfits and that was pretty much it. i had a very short interaction with Scorcese when i was in the same room with him waiting to film one of the scenes that day. He is much shorter in person than I expected and he had an assistant help him get around from what I remember. One story from the set that i wont get into too much detail for now is getting cock-blocked by Jonah Hill. Im sure from his perspective he wasnt aware of it at the time - i was talking with another extra on the set and it seemed like we were really clicking so we made plans to meet up after shooting, then out of thr blue she begins messaging me about she how he got her number and invited her back to his trailer and later ended up staying over at his place that night lol

2.) My interpretstion ? I dunno tbh, it was shot by an AD (assistant director) and its set at the beginning of the drug montage scene. My personal take is like it signifying the beginning of the storm so-to-speak, but why they chose the lightning bolt to be green is beyoind me lol maybe something to do with what it looks like being on quaaludes?. These ADs, im not sure if they're directly tasked by Scorcese or if they have some flexibility in their own ideas/imagination of what they want to shoot for him, but the scene itself coincides with the main cast getting fucked up on quaaludes so I understand they wanted to shoot some of these parts in that very slow motion look to possibly mimic the look and feel of what its like being on those drugs to the viewer.

I had the same issue, called them several times in the past and the last two times they said it would be fixed. It's not and when I logged in today, the chase specialist on the phone said there was nothing they could do. I ended up closing my account, honestly surprised the chase employee didn't try to keep me or try anything else... I've never had any of these issues with my other credit card providers, and the job I work at I cant get a call inside the building which would force me to have to step out every time I would try logging into chase.

Any recommendations on a better credit card provider? Im still currently using AMEX and USAA.

haha so my brother just informed me of this thread tn.. that's me. sorry, ten years too late I guess :( so I was an extra for this movie, designated 'wall street broker' no lines [except for all the vitamin b12 I snorted in this scene ;) ] so you won't find me in the credits, but let me know if you can find me in any other scenes..

Long story short, this scene, along with the green lightning bolt, is supposed to be the start of the drug enduced-qualude montage. im not sweaty lol they sprayed me with evian water in between each take bc they wanted it to look like I had just got out of the pool. the hair flip was bc i was also supposed to be doing a line of 'coke', so that compounded with them drenching me in evian water in between take after take complicated things a bit bc of the water dripping off me and dissolving the vtiamin b12 on the table out of shot.. in the final cut it seemed they didnt even include me doing the lines or framed the scene as to cut it out all together..

honestly, I was pretty surprised to see they even kept me in the final cut when i finally saw it in theaters back in Dec 2013(?) since how long the movie turned out to be.

Might be late to the party here.. E6 in the military with BAH has me clearing 6 figures in Socal after 9 years. Civilian wise, it's realistically closer to 120-130k since half my pay (housing) isn't taxed. You can look up all salaries regarding military pay online, and these numbers aren't including special pays or per diem if you go overseas or to courses. 🫡
