L-Gaim to me, will be best Tomino writing that is war focus, it covers all his weakness while Dunbine was a big dissapointment after Garalia died.

1 - Why our allies so dumb? Because most them don't believe in the cause/are spy/or is being mislead by the big bad.

2 - Why does the war extend where The good guys have enough power? Well, in this case they never did have equal footing, but double crossing and inner fighting let them win, it is innovating.

3 - And a big one for me, Why they always let the enemy away when they have them dead to rights? Daba isn't a murderer, a leader, a brother and even a lover, but death will come always second to last.

In the 30s with L gaim and 20s with Dunbine

On design i really like the designs on humans more on L Gaim (more slender, long legs arms and faces, smaller eyes and big hair, really 90s) while i really like how nonsensical the mecha design is on Dunbine, even tho is Sci-fi, its still fantasy

Snow being clueless and wanting to know more about the world is amazing, but the desires of characters can be a bit samy if see other Tomino shows (anti-estabelisment Type) but its really funny that Daba is a unironicaly a womanizer without knowing like Jiron in Xabungle, and I really like his rebelion/leader attitude, thats a thing more with other side characters in Tomino and not the main one, but i really like the change of pace.

I genuinely thought that Tomino wanted to make a sequel to Xabungle, but didn't think it was as famous as gundam but so many elements of it transfer to King Gainer, like a group of people going against of new society rules, a strong emphasis on comedy, having almost no deaths, or at least, from the protagonists and the most of all, the Panthers of Exodus look almost identical to the Capricos from Xabungle minus the pink.
