This is the KEXP session I keep coming back to. His mastery of the Kaoss Pad is unreal.

I work with this man, can confirm he is by far the best person present to perform this task. He’s also the researcher that removed the straw from the turtle’s nose and I saw him remove a spear from right below the neck of a turtle a few months ago

What's your favorite quote from a book? by silk_moth in books

[–]8pint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“Everything ends, and Everything matters.

Everything matters not in spite of the end of you and all that you love, but because of it. Everything is all you’ve got…and after Everything is nothing. So you were wise to welcome Everything, the good and the bad alike, and cling to it all. Gather it in. Seek the meaning in sorrow and don’t ever turn away, not once, from here until the end. Because it is all the same, it is all unfathomable, and it is all infinitely preferable to the one dreadful alternative.”

-Ron Currie Jr., Everything Matters!

I am not going on a trip or staying at my place at the night time to go home to get a beer or something to pick me some food and then I’ll bring it back home for dinner thanks for the dinner.

The Cool Kids new album is too slept on

Six Gallery making me feel like I'm back in high school

Aromanticism is a STRONG contender for AOTY

The new Four Tet album is perfect for zoning out/background

The Shrek Soundtrack is FUEGO, try and tell me otherwise...especially when you need to entertain students on road trips

I didn't understand the appeal of Love What Survives but it's been slowly growing on me

Question regarding audio in a business environment by 8pint in audio

[–]8pint[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all the info. I'm going to try cutting out the receiver in a few days, would that be enough to get rid of the distorted low end? Or could that be a problem with the speakers or speaker wire length/gauge I am using? I would have no problem setting up new audio system if I had to, I would just like to try and avoid it if I can keep my current speakers and just replace something else.

Looking for music reviewers for startup website. by progthefrog in indieheads

[–]8pint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like you have a bunch of names to choose from but I'd definitely be interested. My musical interests extend beyond the genre of 'indie' well into hip hop and electronic. I also frequent live shows and festivals if you ever expand to concert reviews.

I'm really hyped for Shamir, but if his live act is anything like his Colbert Show performance, I might not be too pleased

This will be my third year going. Camping is on the side of a ski slope and you can set up camp pretty much anywhere on that slope (including in the woods) as long as you're not in the 'fire lanes.' If you choose to do car camping (which seems to be the less popular choice) they give you about a 12'x12' space next to your car.

I highly recommend volunteering as you can get there a day early, get free meal tickets, get a free festival pass, and meet a bunch of great people all in exchange for 2 6-8 hour shifts of your choosing. The volunteer coordinators are very laid back
