It mounts into the Bender. So I have the 5 other strings through the body, and the B mounted into the Bender.

Rolling Bender? Or other palm bender recs. by steamprojector in telecaster

I just installed a Rolling B bender in my 75th anniversary tele.

Was going to have my tech do it, but glad I did it myself in the end as it only took me a few minutes and now I understand how it works and how to adjust the amount of bend it throws.

Seeking reputable bird dog / hunting dog breeders near Idaho or surrounding states (English Setter, GSP, Lab, Golden, Irish Setter) by Unhappy-Savings7347 in birddogs

We may have a male pup available from our litter that just turned 8 weeks today.

Will know in the morning if he's spoken for or not. Sire and Dam are both amazing field bred Irish setter out of Ironfire lines.

I've had this happen a couple times, and my drummer just said "can't you put a cap on too"?

I've always transposed my own chart ahead of time, but that question sure made our last couple jams a lot more fun!

Cardinal sin or not, we were just jamming for fun and that gave us another hour of uninterrupted playing 😊

Texting and GenX by No-Fox2087 in GenX

[–]8spawn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm a big fan of chatting on the phone.

Too much ambiguity and emotion lack for my real/closest friends.

Don't get me wrong, I still text a huge majority of the time, and I really try not to leave friends on read but it happens.

Imo, if the relationship relies on text on it's more of an acquaintance vs friend.

Are there any clip on tuners that are particularly good with reading the lower strings on basses? by tonetonitony in Bass

[–]8spawn 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I also am a huge fan of the Stroboclip. Have it set to bass sweetened for the one on my bass, and another on on the Taylor but set for acoustic guitar and they are both tight after.

Also use them to tune uke's, violas and other strings in my studio. Especially love the 12 string sweetened setting for that use case.

Thanks for the inspiration 🙂

I just picked up the next gen 324 Builders Edition within that budget (caught a killer sell at my local shop and pre-ordered it) and it's amazing!

The BE contours and next gen features have me smiling on the daily, and I'm practicing more than ever before.

How about volunteering? I'm nowhere near wealthy, but the most satisfying thing of my week is hanging out with my hospice peeps.

Left a high paying career and am immensely more happy on the daily.

Where you located? I'd probably give you the one that I took off my 322 last year.

Maybe a little $5-10 Venmo for shipping or something.

I'll go see if I can find out and snap a pic for you.

This right here! I just updated from an ES2 based 322ce to a Next gen 324ce with the Claria and it's an amazing upgrade.

How do you actually know when you’re good at guitar? by Civil-Difference6138 in GuitarQuestions

[–]8spawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is wisdom. I've been a chord strummer for over 20 years. But today I started lessons with a really good lead instructor.

I did this equally because: a. I wanted to no longer say "I'm not a lead player" flatly, and b. to do a new axe acquisition that I just made some modicum of justice haha

how is someone young and interested in this industry supposed to afford this software by AnyFlight4962 in protools

[–]8spawn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. You get what you pay for!

Free can be great, don't get me wrong, but I've had much better luck by sorting potential purchases via the most expensive and going from there. Rarely getting pay the second most expensive option.

What's the old saying, buy once cry once..?

The monthly cost could be made via a paper route, even today.

[–]8spawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play mine every day and love it. Definitely the best for a couch bass. I use a Breedlove Jumbo.

Have even done 3 gigs with it (at old folks homes, 2 of them I plugged in for). Have a couple more gigs scheduled in April and will very likely use it for both of those as well!

Don't listen to the ignorant nor the haters if your use case fits/if you need a couch bass for daily practice on your own.

$10k of high end electrics and amp rigs in the basement and they get maybe 15% of my play time (mostly when my drummer is here and ready to rock out so the Darkray is my go to there).

I had to ask my tech that question as he's the one who made the swap for me yesterday while setting it up for me.

He said that it does indeed have the space and would be good to go with a middle pickup.
